Hi! My name is NaminΓ© and it's nice to meet you all. I have a few questions which hopefully doesn't sound too odd. If so, you can ignore this!
I was wondering for those who can't use sharp objects or have any fighting skills, what methods would you use to protect someone from harm? And could you give off any tips?
[She still can be pretty powerful with her memory manipulation on others, but any other tips would be extremely helpful for her!]
My next question is what is the most scariest animal/creature you've ever defeated, and what did they look like? I draw, a lot! And I wanted to try new facial features and muscles on my sketchpad. Any interesting creatures you want to share would help me a lot, I would appreciate it!
[OOC: This takes place after she met her KH crew and talked to Roxas.]

First and foremost, if it's in a fight, take in your surroundings. If you're outnumbered, try to run and get help, or use the network and the device's internal GPS to give the coordinates. Actually, if you can do both? Do it.
If you're not outnumbered and the number of people involved is low, say there's two of you and one of the opponent, and your friend is being choked? Try kicking the assailant in the back of the knees, or punch them in the kidneys, then try to get your friend out of danger with you while the guy's recovering. If your friend isn't in immediate danger, don't get too close. People can and will take you as a hostage, which will complicate things further. Honestly I'd suggest trying to get help, again. Don't get in over your head.
Some things that might be helpful:
- If someone is trying to harm you, punch them in the throat, then run.
- Look up the local laws and see what typed of things you're allowed to carry for self defense. America loves guns, for example. You can probably get away with pepper spray and mace in the event you don't qualify for a gun.
- Things that make your punches hurt more are good. I don't know what they're called in English though.
- Get good at knowing what's going on around you at all times, and what objects might make good weapons. You'd be surprised how much damage you can do with a chair leg, for instance.
Most of all though, I suggest getting training. You don't need to be trained to kill or anything like that. You should aim for self defense. There are classes advertised all over the place here in America, so it shouldn't be hard to find a course.
I also recommend getting first aid training, even if you listen to literally no other piece of advice here, get first aid training. A lot of the time it's too late to actually stop harm from occurring, but you can still do something to keep someone alive until help arrives. Once you have the training it's not hard to know what objects to keep on your person so you can save a life.
Learning how evacuation procedures work can also be a big help, just in general. Your friends, assuming they're martially trained, will eventually come across something they can't fight, or at least would be at an unreasonable disadvantage against. Sometimes being able to help them just leave can go a long way. Helping to get civilians out of the way of harm can also go a long way to helping them out.
If you want to learn some long-term fighting skills, I'd suggest checking in with people around here who would be willing to give you advice on what you should look into. While I might be able to give advice if we met in person and I got to see you try a few things, it would be way less useful to you than advice from someone who's been actively crime fighting here. They might be able to give you advice I would never think of, too.
As for the second question. The scariest creature I've ever defeated was another human being. I don't think I'd be much help there.

OMG SHE'S SO GRATEFUL TO THIS WONDERFUL BEING!!]
I
Wow!
This is very helpful. I've never thought of any of this before! You must be extremely experienced to be so informative, and train a lot of people before in your world too!
[She wants to save this comment too. She feels blessed.]
I guess that makes sense. If anybody puts their mind to it, they can be incredibly scary as well. I'm so grateful my Somebody is so caring and had a pure heart to not fall into a mess like that.

[ Truth be told, she was well aware it wasn't that hard to be more knowledgeable than she was, since after the age of eight most things she learned were either from her own observations or from watching a lot of MeTube videos. ]
Oh uh, I wasn't dating him. He was my boss.
[ Did she misunderstand 'Somebody' as 'Special Somebody'? Absolutely. ]

Why can't you use sharp objects? Knives are very good and easy to conceal.
Some of the scariest creatures don't look dangerous until it's too late. I did see a shrike-like bird with antlers in a sort-of dream. That was really creepy.
Do you draw anything else?
text
[When she sees that lovely description of that bird, she casually takes out her sketchpad to draw mini notes, to have for later]
Really? That sounds beautiful. I bet it had a lot of colorful feathers, since it was in a dream realm.
And if not, I could always draw it in a pleasing manner for you. Drawing is something I'm confident in. I can draw literally anything if you give me the description of it.
Re: text
It wasn't beautiful.Β Not colourful.Β It didn't even have wings.
Shrikes could never be pleasing to me.Β It's a long story. I can give you some inspiration of something pleasing.Β Just a sec.
[She sends a photo of a group of cats and dogs cuddled up together.Β Then more photos of them playing.]Β
I like to draw too.Β I wouldn't say I could draw anything though.Β Is the drawing ability a power you got when you were portered here?

And scariest animal I've defeated... Is saying 'human' cheating? π π I've defeated some scary ones of those. I scared off a bear once. π»

Is there a reason you can't use sharp objects? You physically handicapped in any way?
Re: audio

I think the simpler solution, though, is just to be taught. There's some good suggestions in the rest of this post, like from Ruby -- and I've found the best way to protect others is to be well-trained. Anyone can learn self-defense.

You could also get someone to teach you how to properly use a blade.
As for monsters, I once fought a rhyming demon from hell. [And it was pretty scary, though M's pride refuses to see it that way.] Called himself Etrigan.
text;
I do know my friends know how to use a blade, so I guess I could ask them! I just wanted to keep it a little secret since they are the ones I want to protect.
[She has no idea this is all extremely public. And while answering, she is also making notes of his particular monster in her sketchpad. Thank you stranger!]
