So, I saw two things that scare me more than anything last month. Some of them were in a dream, but I'm still counting it.

[Finn holds up his sketchpad to show a drawing of some revenants coming out of the lake, and then flips it to the previous page, showing a creepy elf-looking creature..]

If I never see another walking corpse again in my life, it'll be too soon. At least I know for sure that falmer don't exist on Earth, but up until now I figured I was safe from zombies and revenants.

It's like Vaermina herself somehow saw Earth and said "hold my wine".

It didn't. I've actually been hoping I'd run into you. If the offer of guidance still stands, know I'm still up for it. [ She gives a grin. ] Really, the nightmare turned out a lot better than mine do for me, so it was kind of fun after the fact, since it all went okay in the end. I still feel silly for not realising it was a dream, even though I kept finding things that didn't match up in my thought processes.

I'm good most days after 7PM. Though I have something planned on the 8th. And I'm available before 5AM most days too. But you should probably give me some heads up if there's going to be any plans that early so I can get more sleep earlier in the day. Most weekends I'm free after noon.

Part of me wants to avoid them, but a bigger part of me feels that if something does go wrong then what if I'm not there to help people?

In my world, you need a certain kind of magic to raise the dead. Seeing as magic isn't really a thing here, I figured...

Zombies are a pain in the ass, but you do eventually get used to them.

[Shaun isn't certain if that's a helpful comment, but he makes it anyway.] Besides, these particular walking corpses at least din't turn the living into more of them, so you know... bonus? That already gives it a leg up on all the zombies I've dealt with.

[Shaun appreciates the small favors.] So uh... that other thing you drew looks horrifying. Try not to give this place any ideas.

This thing? [He taps the page with the other monster.] This would be a falmer, and my nightmares were full of them last month.

Yeah, one bite, one scratch. That's all it takes. [He doesn't bring up things like spontaneous amplification, because that has been getting rarer.] The next thing you know, you don't know anything except moaning and shambling and hunger.

[That's the home sweet home he knows.]

Falmer. Noted. I would prefer never meeting one. Sorry about the nightmares. I heard a bunch of dreams got pretty screwed up a while back. Before I got here though.

That's just horrifying.

[Finn reaches below to feel his ankle and shin, where the revenant scratched him while trying to pull him under the water. The idea of becoming one of the walking dead from just that little of a wound, it's a scary thought.]

Guess it could have been worse. I could have had the nightmare where I'm eaten alive by giant insects.
