So I stopped by the school I went to sometimes to ask when it starts again, since we've been on vacation for almost a month—and the people at the office told me it won't be until the end of August, because kids here get three months!

I barely knew what to do with one month! How do people here deal with three?! Is it like this in all of this world's schools?

I'm not used to it. The school I went to didn't have any vacations at all.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who finds it excessive! I actually did some research when I arrived because it seemed so long. Evidently it's left over from the days when most families wanted their children back on the farm to help with the growing and harvesting.

I suppose they never got around to changing it.

I don't know. It's weird, isn't it? I know school isn't the same as the Organization, but Saix only ever gave us one day off while I was with them, and I didn't even know what to do with that.
