[Video]
[The video feed turns on, and here is Shaun. For anyone who knows Shaun, the face he’s making at the camera isn’t his usual. The typical easy-going grin, the tendency to seem to always be in motion even when he’s sitting still, that’s gone. He’s downright stoic as he addresses the network.]
So. We have a problem.
[And just in case it’s not already clear what that problem is, let him present Exhibit A: He adjust the angle of the video feed enough that he’s now sharing the screen with his sister.]
It’s not that big a deal, Shaun. Come on!
[Georgia tugs the camera closer towards herself, giving the camera a grin from beneath her sunglasses and a wave.]
Hi, Shaun’s being a big grump because we’ve gotten ourselves a little bit emotionally manipulated by rocks. But it’s fine! It’s fun.
[Shaun, who has never been all that good at long-suffering looks, manages a professional level long-suffering look, takes a breath and continues.]
Jury is out on how big a deal it is. But yeah. Rocks. Is anyone else running into personality changes? Other effects? Does anyone know how long they last?
[Because they have been out of contact with the crystal for a short bit, and yet here they are.] Is it permanent? [Please. Please let it not be permanent. He’s exhausted.]
And where can we find the other colors? Because if these made our personalities change, it’ll be interesting to see what those do. [George glances over at Shaun and tugs on his arm cheerfully.] It’ll be an adventure!
[Shaun’s expression displays only a flicker of the horror he feels.] Georgia. No.

Are you both somewhere safe? At least until whatever these rocks is doing wears off?

We're home. There doesn't seem to be anything dangerous about it. Physically anyway.
[It's just trippy as hell and oddly unsettling. Help, Allison.]

[She just. Swings Shaun into her arms and holds him up over her head.]

[Shaun sighs.] You must never have met Georgia gravitas is my middle name Mason. Serious no-nonsense newsie.
[And honestly what's worse is:]
I'm supposed to be the fun one. [Not that you can tell given that his tone is currently level and crisp and all business.] The one who pokes zombies with sticks
[Now though he just sounds vaguely irritated. This sucks.]
Audio
[ He thinks about the times when Jake wasn't available- you sort of need that sort of serious no-nonsense person once in a while.]
Newsie? Isn't that a musical?
And do you mean literally poking zombies with sticks? Man, and here I thought we were stupid and suicidal. At least use a pole or something.
OOC: I love Newsflesh so much. <3

[Later, she'll be glad Shaun's unintentional caution kept her from doing too much she'd regret later. Right now, it's just frustrating.]

On the danger spectrum more 'driving a tank into a house' than 'jumping out of a spaceship'.
[ Marco shrugs, he's not that invested. ]
Besides, if you're the serious one and you go all wacky on camera everybody's just going to think you're having a breakdown and then you'd have to waste your time with a stupid recovery arc and everybody getting concerned at you. You think he's being annoying? Wait until it's everybody watching you.

[And even that is delivered straight to the point and with a nod.]
The one George found is red. What color was the one you ran into? Or is there something besides color that makes them different?

Long time no see.
Actually, damn... has it been since the water-zombie thing?
Shit. I suck at being friends with people.
Wait, are we even friends?
Does killing things together mean friendship? It SEEMS like it could...
I really don't know how it works.
text;
probably we'll find more things to kill together soon, that work?
[Weirdly cheerful George is still pretty bad at friendship honestly.]

That definitely works.
A solid plan, if I ever heard one.

Re: text;
Killing things is the foundation for many strong friendships. Fact.
Honestly I'm pretty shit at it too. I think I used to be better. Or maybe I faked it better. I dunno. You seem different. What color space rock did you play with?
text;
Different how?
Idk... Ben had a loooot of white ones.
