I have a request for anyone how knows about religious artifacts. There was a device in my world which some claimed came from Eden; I wish to know if any other worlds have something similar.

It was a metal ball which could controls men's minds and produce lifelike illusions. Has anyone else heard of something similar?

I can only tell you what I was told by my Master.

He referred to the device as a piece of Eden and said it was responsible for people believing the Red Sea was parted. That it cast an illusion making others believe Jesus turned water to wine.

[ It takes a couple minutes for Altair to respond, but once he does he sends a crudely drawn picture of a sphere with what seems like decorative lines. ]

It was made of a metal I'd never seen and glowed when it's powers were used.

I've never seen it. But I believe your tale, that such a relic could do as you say. Though the dating of it may be inaccurate.

Younger. There was nothing such as this in the Garden.

I do. It was the first place I ever knew.

I have never heard of Adam having a wife before Eve.

History doesn't write about what it's failed in. In what it can't control.

The device I asked about, my Master used it to force the submission of our town. I could not be controlled so he tried to kill me.

We were taught the tenants of Islam, but he did not believe.

By religious, I guess you mean Judeo-Christian?

I don't remember anything like that existing, but I'm more familiar with Greek and Roman legends.

I have only seen it in the hands of Templars, but I do not know how old it is or where it came from.

My Master did claim that its illusions caused the Trojan war, but he did not say how.

That would’ve been the Golden Apple.

Tbh I don’t think your item and the Apple were the same in my world, but the Apple definitely existed in mine. It was what the myths said it was.

By itself, sure. The 'intoxicating' part came from how those things kept being labeled for the hottest or fairest.

I will have no choice but to deal with it once I return to my world, but I am gladdened that this world doesn't appear to have anything like it.

I definitely don't envy that. Why does that even exist? I mean I know why, gods are nuts...but that's a bit much.

It has been my experience that men are the ones who are 'nuts'. Gods might have put those devices in my world, but it's mankind who keep using them. [ Not that he believes in Gods, but that's a discussion for later ]

But sometimes those men are driven to it by gods. For sport, for laughs, for some asinine war they want to wage over the cosmos. I guess there's blame to go around...

There's only one Eden that I know of and that's the Garden of Eden. Can't say though that I've heard of a metal ball that could control minds.

From the responses I have gathered, it seems to be isolated to my world. It has been a comfort so far knowing that I will not have to worry about it while I'm here.
