[Anyone who has ever been in high school or seen one on TV will probably recognize the surroundings Bart is shooting in. The lockers and walls are painted in unappealing colors and the empty state says he's probably sneaking out during class to send this.]

So, I kinda have an important question. Does anyone know the proper procedures for testing out of high school as an imPort? Because I don't know about you, but I definitely can think of better ways to spend eight hours a day listening to lectures on material I already know.

And please, don't go all 'stay in school' TV special on me, because if I can test out, I'll still probably end up taking college classes, I just really need something that's a little more self-paced and a lot less waiting excruciatingly long times for the bells to ring.

I'm just bored. I already finished all the homework that's been assigned for the semester so far. In all my classes. The only stuff I can't rush are things like science labs and the essays and stuff the topics haven't been given for.

[He just doesn't need to be trapped like this. It's a recipe for detention and getting stuck with a counselor, and he probably can't really tell them stuff because even though he's an imPort or whatever, it's still to weird.]

I figured there's some kind of way to test into college. I liked the criminology classes...

If Bart's really struggling that much, she can't exactly force him to stick around. ] The only way I know, right now, is to take the GED and enroll at a nearby college.

I can put in a good word in De Chima, since that's where I work, but I'm less sure about the process where you are. I suspect they'd need some kind of legal guardian to sign off on everything...

Well, the intro packet mostly says that the government is standing in loco parentis for the most part. Since the Porter is responsible for us all being here. And, well, Mr. Dresden has offered to help with getting the paperwork started for a GED.

[The problem really isn't an advanced state of academics, it's the sheer volume of time Bart can subjectively experience layered on top of a perfect memory. He doesn't even have to try most of the time.]

So far, you're the only family I know about, weird degrees of removes and all. We can't all be adopted by well-meaning billionaires.
