When he deems that he's at a safe distance away from the Gibbering Mouther, he switches to his front camera. His cheeks are flushed from running. Murphy combs his hair back, nostrils flared to drag in a deep breath of air. Sharly, he exhales.

He ignores the searing cramp in his side. ]

This fucking thing is the grossest thing I have ever seen in my entire life. [ Murphy lifts his phone, so viewers can see over his shoulder. Off in the distance, the Gibbering Mouther lurks, its attention averted for the time being. ] And here I thought my face was ugly.

[ Anathema might have thought a little more closely about how she used her communicator, except in her speed to reply she just stabbed whatever the default option was — which means her face is currently way, way too large, as she leans in and practically presses her face to the screen in rewatching Murphy's video. Pausing it to scrutinise the mouther.

Her voice somehow still distant, academic: ]
