( She certainly hopes the anonymity remains and she doesn't somehow manage to screw it up, but this feels like just as good a way as any to get some negativity out of her system and slough it off so she can be a little more optimistic. ...she's never really been good at optimism, but it's worth trying. Love. I have seen it truly change the world. And when you’re a friend of what might well be the source of all life on your world for all time, you come to believe it all the more.

And I put my faith into the idea that one day I will find that as well.

Not just believing that things will work out. Believing that there's a chance and fighting like hell for it. That a better world exists, but only if you keep working, no matter how many failures you have or how many people you lose.

That it will all matter, in the end.

When it comes to the world, I'd go with curiosity, the scientific method and an open mind.

But on a personal level, you need to put your trust in friends and family. If this summer has been trying to teach me anything, it's that relying on each other is the best way forward, and 'Trust No One' is the dumbest advice you could ever give.
