FIFTH TRANSMISSION - TEXT;
To whom it may concern:
Riptide's comm signal went offline last night, and he is no longer listed in the imPort registry.
[ Short, and to the point. No sense in frivolities. Honestly, this public announcement was almost Soundwave-worthy in its succinctness. ]

Last night isn’t too long, though. Chances are still high that he’ll come back.

After two, the likelihood of someone coming back with their memories intact drops to almost nil. Not that it’s unheard of.

Thank you for the refresher.

I'll keep my eye out.
This place would be a hell of a lot lesser without him.

My max was two weeks, one time. Didn't go home, didn't remember anything, just... ported out and suddenly it was two weeks later. And I know there are outliers who are gone for months or even years and then come back with their memories, it's just a lot rarer.

He's done this before. Who fucking knows when he'll get back.
[ After a moment: ]
If, I guess.
Re: text
The good news is there's no one beating down the door for berth space, so I suppose I don't have to rent out his room just yet.

[ Again, after a pause: ]
I know how it feels. A bit. Did it turn out okay? The new place.
Re: text
Yes, it came out... surprisingly nice. Very functional. Startlingly domestic.

I didn't know how it would even work. Are there 40 foot high countertops or something?
[ If her tone is a bit jovial, it's just the format. She's trying to ignore how worried and upset she is. ]
