[Under Chloe's Australian accented voice, there's the faint sound of a pencil skritching on paper and the occasional swiping of an eraser.]
My personal best case scenario for that cipher is that it leads to treasure of some kind.
[It's not unheard of in her line of work. Which she doesn't mind openly dropping some hints about now that she's working for locals and not a place managed by imPort heroes.]
But with bits of it sent to all of us, are we supposed to split the take between however many hundred of us there are? I don't fancy trying to figure out who's doing more work than other people with this many involved.
[From her own noodling with her piece, following other people's threads, and just plain cynicism, she doesn't think this scenario's at all likely, but it's fun to think about, and if it means people underestimate her, all the better.]
Or if that's too hard a question, what's your best case scenario? No idea is too ridiculous; look at where we are and all the crap that's happened here.

[ He clearly seems to be treating it like it's all a game. ]
Maybe it's not really treasure. Maybe someone wants us to find something, just to get it for themselves. Or a message from aliens who hacked into the network.
Or maybe it's the government trying to get us all to find something secret and weird that'll help them save the world. Or destroy it.

Exactly like gold and stuff.
Aliens is pretty fun, destroying the world is a little dark.
Re: voice
I guess. [ If she only knew.] If it is treasure, why would someone send it to everyone else? Probably to try and take it for themselves, right?

[The preferred risk mitigation plan for her last partner in crime.]

Like they want a treasure hunting team? Or they just want everyone to do all the work so they trick them and run away with it?
[ He's read a lot of stories like this. Bad guys never win. ]
sorry this is so late! life happened
[Hmmmm. Maybe best to not be a bad influence via network.]
So I hear.
lmao same here
The bad guys never manage to run away with it for very long. They always get caught. Or lose it, somehow.
