[So... shadows are a thing. Which Steph will discover as soon as the real her checks her phone. In the meantime, here's Robin, broadcasting live from the Batcave! Anyone who knows Stephanie or Batgirl will notice her shadow's noticeably a few years younger, as if she was plucked right before Batman decided to fire her. Yeah, let's not talk about that. 

Robin grins at the camera as she announces herself.]

Hi there! Wait, that's not... [The way a superhero introduces themselves, but oh well.] Anyways, I'm Robin! [she says pointing to the big R on her chest] Which probably some of you already know, but yeah, let's get this over with. It's Robin, the Girl Wonder. 

Moving on! There's a lot of bad stuff going on, right? So I just wanted everyone to know there's no need to fear... Robin is here! If you need me, use the... wait, do we have a Robin signal? We should totally get a Robin signal. Who do I talk to about that?

[ She's still a little dubious, but there's no arguing with that logic. After all, they don't have super-hearing, to know people are calling for them from far away. ]

I guesssss an R? Since that's what's on my costume. But a bird might be cool too...

I wasn't even thinking of it having wings! That's genius! I just thought of the lil bird head with its beak. But the whole bird is definitely cooler! And it looks more like a bat!

... unless it looks too much like a bat and then we can't tell the difference.

[ what the fuck. whaaaaat the fuck? cass blinks bleary-eyed at the video a few times, and... well. it's clear what's going on here. fakes have...been a thing before. still, she pours two coffees--one of them the way steph likes it--and heads down to the cave through the clock. apparently, she has a guest. she's not getting a bad vibe off of this girl from what she's seen. ]

It's Robin. If that's all you're gonna say, you can at least get it right.

[ well that's a fucking gutpunch. cass winces, but... nods. ]

... Right. Robin. [ she raises the mugs and steps closer, showing the flash and wonder woman symbols on them. ] I brought coffee? Thought we could talk, if that's okay.

[She grabs a mug and takes a sip, grimacing a little like when you're trying to get used to drinking coffee but it still tastes awful but you gotta look cool. The Stephanie Brown story.]

Relax, it's okay. Really. Just surprised to see you in the old gear. [ she sits down near her, smiling. her tone is about as soft and friendly as she gets, with the rasp that's always at the edge of her voice. ]

My dad wouldn't just replace people. And I don't think Batman really ever meant to replace Robin. ( aside from the fact there are like four robins and stuff and he doesn't really know the story or anything but his dad wouldn't be friends with someone who just got rid of people for no reason. ) If he did, why would you even want to be Robin?
