[Please enjoy some shaky camera, some yelling, and a triumphant “AH-HA” before getting a two-second shot of various wires, followed by a startled yelp.

The camera clatters to the ground, everything goes on the fritz for a second, before Jane’s voice is clearly heard:]

Hey! Let go! I tried to go through the proper channels—

[The video is cut off for a number of hours, before Jane comes back on, looking completely frustrated and more than a little peeved.]

Hey everyone.

I have no idea if any of you saw what I managed to get, not that I was able to keep any of it. I tried to get a look into the porters, but that … did not go well. I’m banned from using them for the next two months now, without filling out forms beforehand.

But I can still use public transportation, it seems.

Guess this puts me on another government list.

Thanks! I didn't get much though, they got to me too quickly. You think they were trained for it or something. At least, from the looks of it, the internal components are similar to what most people are used to seeing. If I had only gotten another thirty seconds.

Well, they're watching for humans trying to get close to the Porters. There's lots of other ways.

Yeah, I use it to sneak pictures of Peter all the time. He makes great faces and he turns redder than a raspberry, it's great! I haven't tried in morph yet, but if we experiment a little we could find out if it works.

You were telling that guy you didn't see anything out of the ordinary. I know that at home we could build an FTL communicator with what we had except for one piece. That piece we had to steal. Maybe the Porters are similar?

Either that or they're cloaked. Illusions, you know.

The Porters are possibly similar. I wasn't able to get a good look anyways, let alone get my hands in there, so I might have seen something unusual but didn't recognize it.

Yeah. They were professional. Pissed off, but professional. After I ranted at them for about twenty minutes, they released me and essentially outlined my punishment.

It took me weeks of monitoring their security protocols and schedules and flashing my teaching ID like it was a badge before the jig was up.

That's more seconds than I've gotten. My disguises are ineffective, and apparently trying to throw metal poles around as a distraction is "grounds for legal action." [She does the scare quotes. Amethyst taught her. They're very useful.]
