( the whole thing comes through not using the device but almost psychicly. lilith had set herself up, meditative state to expand her reach, divining in her sense for other witches, magic users of any form.

once she's located them the message comes, short and simple, clear voice not quite speaking into their minds but leaving an impression. a message )

My name is Lilith -- a witch from Greendale. Given the unusual situation we find ourselves in I thought it prudent to seek out other witches, gather our magical strength against what may come.

The devices will help you to contact me -- for questions, perhaps a meeting. Consider it.

( and then she's gone, the feeling of power that had rubbed with her message fading away. perhaps it interests perhaps it doesn't but she's curious )

[ There's a handful of witchy ways Zelda could have responded to the message and maybe, under most circumstances, she might have. But she's in too much shock to think them through because what in the actual fuck.

So Lilith just gets a video call. ]

Lilith? You're joking.

( she sighs before answering because sabrina, you had one job even if lilith can't actually fault her for not telling the truth. it was a big thing and a lot to give the witch. at least lilith would handle solely this, she's not touching the rest of the mess )

Now, do you honestly believe that?

( she just looks right back at her, daring her to say yes )

Not in Greendale but she does now.

( and she knows the young witch is going to get a little scolding )

There's been much she's had to inform you of, not all of it so simple.

[It's not the first time a magic user has entered into her mind with a strange message, but that doesn't make it any less surprising.]

Are you going to try the summoning? I'll meet.

[And after a moment, because witch is a term she's been hearing more frequently lately.]

Are you one of Anathema's friends?

I am, yes.
And the summoning is one thing to try though I would prefer to be aware of everyone's magical potential first.

I wouldn't mind entertaining other solutions, if they exist. Count on me to be there, either way.

[ Loki's astral projection is of painfully limited range in this world, so he does find himself forced to make use of his phone instead. Yelling at a piece of technology hardly is the same as directly snarling into someone's face, but... It will have to do.

[ People sending messages into his head? He hasn't signed up for that. Neither does he harbor any urges to meet with some- Witches? ]

( there's an eyeroll at the tone, lilith's response perhaps annoyingly cavalier, unphased by his tone )

I believe that part was clear.

[ That's a very reasonable reaction at least. And while the Asgardian may have well heard the content of her message, he isn't at all inclined to address it. ]

Oh, it was.

[ The snarl is much too audible. ]

And I do not take kindly to this sort of invasion. You will stay out of my head, witch!

Well, you only need to ask.

( with a tone of just saying because she's not apologetic about it but she's also not here for the anger. if she were feeling more of a little shit (or annoyed) she'd have done something else )

[ Whenever Lilith enters her sitting room, or whatever equivalent thereof, there is Anthy Himemiya, sitting casually with a cup of tea. There's an extra cup, piping hot, on the table, along with a little plate of biscuits. She smiles when they see each other. ]

You're Miss Lilith, yes? Nice to meet you.

( returning home to find someone in her living room is a very unsettling thing and though lilith isn't concerned for her own safety she certainly doesn't seem pleased to see the intruder.

she partially steps into the room, two fingers making a gentle sweeping motion by her side, not yet acting but causing something in the room to subtly move, defensively ready to strike )

Who are you?

[ Anthy smiles a little wider at the gesture, at the small sound of motion elsewhere. She's talked to another supposed witch, but not about what they actually do with their time. Outside of religious convictions, that is. ]

I'm Anthy Himemiya. [ She sets her cup down on its saucer, lowering it slightly. ] I didn't think you'd be so surprised to see me. Didn't you mean to call me here?

I didn't invite you to my home.

( that hadn't been part of the message. a meeting yes but of her choosing and for all of them.

surprise also wasn't the largest of what she felt, irritation at her space being so freely taken. assumed )

I assume you have questions.

( why else come? she'd intended to create a larger gathering of witches, a coven really, not to just solely meet them )

That was what my call went to, yes.

( she'd just used terminology familiar with her world )

I'm not the most powerful of sorcerers, but I am willing to meet. There might be some way I can contribute.

[ Harry is content to leave that at that. But he grins, and nods. He had just been thinking of this, when things went down. He wonders if Sabrina got this, and what she thinks, and Wanda as well.

Rubbing his chin, he ponders as he considers this woman in this new light. ]

I'm called Harry Dresden.

Mr Dresden. ( there's a faint smile when she greets him ) We met once before.

( though lilith had been going by a different name at that point and really it was only with this call that she was now completely shedding the use of mary wardwell )

It'll be interesting to speak about your magic again.

I do recall. But a new name deserves a new greeting.

[ His grin is lopsided as he tips an imaginary hat to her. ]

I am available at your discretion, madame. And I have a few tricks that may come in handy.

[ The voice Lilith hears on the line isn't anyone she's talked to before: a young woman with a middling, polite tone. There's no confusion to it, despite the unusual method of first contact — it's always a little strange for her, to be reminded how others perceive the power she has, but at least it's no longer a surprise.

At any rate, there's no point dancing around the matter. ]

What would you intend to do, with that kind of gathering? That kind of strength?

There are multiple things that we could do. But the first would be to learn, to know of each member's individual strength and talent, their familiarity with their power.

Covens typically strengthen each other -- practice their spells, cast together to increase the potency of a spell or simply to support.

( there is some idea she has in mind but aside from that it would be nice having a secure place for any witch to go )

[ Spellcaster-types, then... that's one answer, at least. ]

And the unusual situation — you mean the fates of this world, don't you.

[ It's not a question. After all, if that's not what she means, then she won't know what Ruka means — and if that's the case, then she's useless. ]
