[It might be the middle of the night back in the States when this is posted, but not in Thailand. The screen comes to life showing a lovely beach scene, all sunny and bright before it’s turned around to Kenzi’s face. She’s grinning.]

Happy turkey day, losers!

[She moves about to drape herself over Kang’s shoulder.

Kang is relaxed in that way only reptiles can achieve, leaning back in a chair and enjoying the warm sun with a drink in hand. When Kenzi drapes over him, he just grins and rolls his shoulder in a not-serious attempt to dislodge her.]

You're already drunk, aren't you? I'll be there soon.

[Kenzi lets him shrug her off, laughing. Though she keeps the camera trained on the both of them.]

By the way, if I know you and you want a souvenir let me know! [A pause before she adds.] Nothing illegal tho.

[Kang adds:] Same for me. Souvenirs, that is.

[And one more thing] Oh! We're in Thailand, bee tee dubs.

Looks like you're having fun.

[ On comes a video of Oliver, in his green outfit, with the backdrop being a white wall that stretches off to both sides. he waves. ]

Glad you two are having fun.

[ He raises a hand to Kang as well, having seen the being once before, during a fight against a monster, long ago. ]

[The reply comes a bit later after she's settled into a chair with her comm set up so it only shows her from the shoulders up when she's in frame.

She grins at the comm before grabs up a colorful drink and takes a sip.]

Hell yeah!

This is soooo needed after the world nearly ended.

[ Oliver chuckles, honestly pleased for them both. He is working, as usual, but he doesn't begrudge them their fun, not at all. ]

Well, I am glad you are getting it.

How long are you staying for?

Everyone deserves it after that bullshit.

[She'd rather forget about it.]

Until the sixth. So plenty of time to work on my tan!

Agreed. [ His grin is amused, but agreeable. ]

Good on you. Hopefully, you have lots of fun and come back with trinkets as well as a tan.

Mmn! About that. Is there anything I can bring back for you? Y'know, the least I could do for helping me out with clothing.

I don't know... [ He thinks for a moment, then nods. ]

I've heard some good things about their locally made chocolates. If you can find some of that, I would love to try it.

Chocolate, huh? I'll see what I can do.

I take it you don't have any allergies?

Ah, no. [ He shakes his head. ]

I used to think I was allergic to peanuts, but it turned out to just be a kid thing. I grew out of it.

[She huffs and grumbles] lucky you.

A'ight. Chocolates for the O-man. [A frown.] Gonna need to work on that one.

[ He raises an eyebrow ]

Are you allergic to peanuts, Kenzi? I'm sorry to hear that.

[ Her nickname for him brings a facepalm. ]

I am glad that Cisco is not here. You two would get along entirely too well.

[She doesn't answer the question, just takes a long drink from her glass.

Being Kenzi's friends means getting a nickname. It just might take a bit for her to work through what works best for a person.

She looks back over and raises a brow.] What'd this Cisco call you?

[ He nods at her not!response and puts that away in his head for later. ]

A lot of different things. Green Knight, Emerald Archer, The Beard.

[ He stops there. Some of the others were just... too Cisco. ]

[She doesn't need the entire network knowing about her biggest weakness.]

[She lets out a laugh.] The Beard! That's a good one. I tend to go for nicknames that use a person's name.

[A pause.] Most of the time.

It was all they could see at first, when I first got into the business.

[ He mimes pulling a hood low over his face. ]

That makes more sense to me, but Cico was more into the heroic names side of things.

Makes sense.

Eh, heroes aren't a thing back home. Unless you count comic books, tv, and movies.

Yeah. I never thought they existed in my world, either, until I put on a mask and suddenly there were a lot of us.

The closest thing we have if, well, peeps like Bo. Fae that is willing to use their abilities to help people. But they have to keep all of it really secret and the general population doesn't know they exist. Like, not even as heroes.

That's how it started in my world. Eventually, it changed, but it started that way,

It's...different for the Fae.

[She takes another sip as she thinks about how to explain it.]

They look human, right? But they got all these crazy powers and a lot of them feed on humans. But not, like, they don't eat people. Well, some do. A lot feed on a human's lifeforce, chi, emotions, whatever. Stuff like that. If humans knew... [She trails off, he probably gets the idea.]

It's their law to remain hidden. Exposing them is punishable by death.

I can see why. People tend to object to being used as food.

...most of the time.

It sucks. [In some cases literally.]

To top it off they're split between two factions that can't agree on just how terribly they want to treat humans.

Oof. It sounds like a lot of human societies, really.

On a much less murderous subject, What's your favorite drink?

Yeah, they have a lot more in common with us than they would like to believe.

[She purses her lips, thinking for a moment.] Can't go wrong with vodka. Or bourbon. Or whiskey. Tch, hard choice.

People will be people.

Vodka, bourbon, and whiskey. Okay.

[ He is not, quite, laughing. ]

[She shrugs. She knows she has a problem but she's not about to change things just yet.]

It's easier for me to list what I don't like rather than pick just one drink.

That does make sense. I'm more of a wine, tequila, and Scotch man, myself.

Oh, yes, wine's good too. Tequila is only for making mistakes and a definite hangover.

I like tequila.

I guess I built up a tolerance while I was traveling.

I can handle most things but tequila really does me in.

I'll remember not to offer you any, then.

Just wine, and good whiskey.

Tequila's fine, just don't expect me to keep up. [She laughs.]

I tend not to drink a lot anyway, unless I'm working.

[ His grin is sly, and silly. ]

I can put a lot away without actually getting drunk, but it can be useful to be seen as someone who is not paying attention.

[She squints at him before laughing.]

Drinking on the job, huh? Usually, that's frowned upon.

With the exception of tequila, my tolerance is pretty damn high. [Especially for someone her size.]

Sometimes, sure. But it helps people underestimate you.

[ He grins at her. ]

Good to know, Kenzi. Good to know.

Peeps take one look at me and underestimate me due to my size or because I'm human. Lemme tell ya, they often regret it.

Heh. I know someone about your size back home. She's the toughest person I have ever met.

[ His face falls as he looks down, then nods, looking up again, forcing a smile as he tries not to feel the loss of his wife once more. ]

I would never underestimate you.

[Don't think she doesn't catch that. She's not going to say anything about it, though. She knows how it feels to miss someone from home.]

Good, 'cuz I'd totes kick your butt.

You know... I wouldn't be surprised.

[ And his grin is genuine as is his nod as he shakes his head. ]

Now you should get back to enjoying yourself and stop talking to a silly idiot.

[She laughs and grins back.]

[ With a wave that is half salute, half gesture back toward Kang, he chuckles and taps the button to turn off the video, sitting back, and smiling.

Kenzi was a very interesting person. ]

[Oliver gets a lazy wave back.]

Don't know why I didn't do this sooner. All it took was having to save the multiverse to get me to take a real vacation.

Well, you deserve it. Everyone needs some downtime eventually. [ Except Oliver. Yes. ]

Goo for you for getting out there and getting some relaxation.
