[The image focuses in on Kenzi sitting in the middle of a wooden floor with a fire roaring in the fireplace behind her. She’s dressed in an oversized t-shirt and some ripped pants, her hair is pulled back and covered by a bandana, and there’s some dirt or something smeared on her cheek. Which she clearly hadn’t noticed until she started the video up. Whatever, it’s fine, she’s been cleaning!

Hello, network! This is Kenzi with your monthly update.

[A pause for dramatic effect.]

Last month mostly sucked! The month before sucked even more! But it’s a new god dammed year so can we start it off with a good month? Please?

Anyway! Happy belated holidays and all that good stuff! I hope everyone had a good time. Also belated but I’d once again like to thank everyone that participated in the date auction. I hope everyone has fun on their dates if they haven’t already!

[She smiles brightly as she claps to hands together.]

The Red Branch is, well, it’s not quite open for business… But! It’s certainly open for peeps to come to hang out if they want. I can’t promise drinks but I can promise a warm fire. Though be warned, if you step through those doors I might put you to work.

[She shifts to pick up the comm, the image flips around to show the mostly empty main floor. There’s still graffiti all over the walls but there’s no trash and broken furniture. In fact, there’s some new furniture in the room. Some of it looks like it probably came from a thrift shop while some of it matches and looks less used. There are candles and lanterns lit all over the room which suggests the power and other amenities are still off.

The video flips back around to focus on Kenzi.]

And now two things I kind of need [pause] well, three-ish.

One, after the date auction and what it’s going to take to continue getting this up and running moolah is running a skosh on the low side. I need a job. I thought I’d put that out there first in case any other imPorts are looking to hire and pay decently.

Two, is there anyone that can craft me some very specific jewelry? There’s a couple pieces I need made.

So in the meantime it's just a fancy 'omeless shelter? There's probably a call for that around 'ere.

No, at the moment it's just dirty and empty. Well, less dirty than when I reclaimed it.

Honestly, I've been in plenty o' pubs that look worse than that does right now.

It was an Irish style pub run by a friend of mine and yours truly.

I dunno yet. It's def not in any shape to be open to the public, just yet. But if anyone wants to keep me company and help out I won't object.

The more people that help out the sooner this place will be operational. And don't worry, I'll pay you in booze and food.

That description means little to me, but I am inclined to check it out once you are done there.

[ And he gives a small shrug in response. ]

I could use someone to handle appointments and schedules for Yggdrasil's trials. You might well be able to do that while continuing your own project, given that I already hired two mortals for the dull work.

It's a bar with rooms that can be rented out.

So like a secretary?

[ What is it about her that says she's suited secretary work? ]

[Well, she hasn't been working in a jewelry shop as an appraiser for nothing, even if it is a little weird.]

What do you mean by specific?

A pendulum style pendant on a silver chain. And...well, I'm not sure how possible this one is but I need a ring with a small blade hidden in it. Or a needle. Just something sharp.

[You're right. That is specific.] I suppose if you cut the gem a certain way, it could conceal something. Hmm. This could take some time, but you've asked the right Gem. [preening] I'm an expert. If I can't do it, it's impossible.

[heartstings]

[ Kenzi raises a brow. ] Gem?

Er, yeah. I just need something that can draw a little bit of blood. It doesn't need to be anything fancy.
