I suppose this would be the means by which to communicate with other individuals here, rather direct and yet indirect at the same time, is it not? What a delight. Ah, but I am hardly here to spend all my time making light conversation, am I? No, instead I seek to pose a question to anyone here who might possess the talent of... atypical methods of conveyance of their personage.
Has anyone else found themselves strangely limited to movement within only the arbitrary political boundaries of this rather archaically structured and overly sensitive 'country'?
[There is definitely a touch of impatience in his voice. Which makes sense, does it not? Luxord is used to his dark corridors taking him anywhere and everywhere. Being anchored in a single world is bad enough. But being anchored to a single and seemingly arbitrarily assigned country? Maddening.
But he isn't done yet. When he speaks again it's with a bit more energy. Perhaps even amusement.]
Beyond that, I'm looking to see what other games of chance this world might possess. Yes, yes. I know about the things typically offered in the casinos here. I just seek to know what other things might be interesting.

[His tone is one of mild amusement.]

If he's recognizing it correctly, anyway. He probably is, given what's being talked about, but might as well find out.]
Something like that. But it wasn't the country I was trying to leave.
no subject
Oh, is that so? Looking to leave again, Roxas?
[Does he still feel a touch betrayed by Roxas leaving the World That Never Was? Yes. Did he understand that the actions were fully necessary for Sora to play out the role to which fate set him? Indeed. But the betrayal was still there.]
no subject
Sure. Why not? Don't tell me you want to be stuck in this one world, either.
[He doesn't miss the hint of accusation in Luxord's voice. Once upon a time, he'd have felt the same, if their positions were reversed. But he can't regret walking away when he did.]

I would rather not be anchored to one locationi. Then again, I cannot say I am particularly eager to return to Wonderland or the Caribbean. Or a few other places that come to mind quite readily.
no subject
Yeah. I can think of a few worlds I wouldn't want to go back to.
[He is Never Ever Ever going back to Halloween Town.]
Didn't work when I tried to head somewhere else, though. This is the first world I've been in that the corridors can't find a way out of.

I will admit that I like your way of thinking. But I cannot help but notice that you introduce yourself with many questions, yet without a name.
[ He's not outright saying that's rude, but... You know. ]

Which part is more appreciated, the way I describe this land I find myself in, or perhaps the seeking of more refined games of chance?
But you are quite correct. I have been a touch rude to not offer it. I am known, among those I have called friend, as Luxord. Thank you for the correction. I do not like to think that I have been overly rude.
no subject
And I can find myself appreciative of either. Who doesn't enjoy a fun, little game... Though it is true, indeed. That this realm can be rather restrictive. Not merely concerning the freedom of movement. And yet there is very little any of us can do about it.
[ Hence why he is mostly bidding his time and occupying himself with said little games and various other hobbies he has since picked up. ]

The pleasure is mine I expect. So, now that names have been exchanged, I do wonder if you are familiar with games I may not know as well? As I stated, I am familiar with the things in the casinos here. Call it an affect of working there if you must. And they are dull when not played against true others.
no subject
[ Some things can't be helped. Loki offers a short shrug, and a mild smile. ]
Those casinos you mentioned are tame areas. You may want to seek out the less sophisticated areas if you wish for some... Creative alternatives. And maybe a little excitement.

[The lilt of his voice definitely says he intends to seek them out, but advice would not be unwelcomed.]

That is precisely the sort of gambling of which I am referring. Clearly that is precisely what any man, known for his domination of all things related to cards, might seek as a pass time.

But I would point out that gambling games are not games of skill. They are games of chance. Ball-in-a-cup is not chance.
