I know I should ask the internet, but um...

[Mizuki ducks her head, hands briefly twisting around the smallish metal bird on the table before she forces herself to relax. It's more than a little embarrassing to admit she doesn't want to deal with all the questions that will come if someone figures out she's an imPort. But this isn't the internet, so she's got this!

She taps the bird on the head before speaking.]

A-Anyway! I... I'm normally really good at naming things, but I neither I or Lillie [She gestures to the blond entranced by the bird as hops about.] have come with a good name for this yet, and well. I thought maybe someone here could help?

I... I want it to be a good name, because the person who gave this to me is a friend, and I... I can't think of any good ones. So... please help?

[She looks like she wants to add something, but- she bites it back and looks away briefly before she beams at him.]

[But he noticed that hesitance, and for a second he's about to hang up on her and let that be that, but then he decides against it.]

[Her shoulders hunch, but then she forges ahead - after swapping it to as private as she can make it.

She's a kid, but she's not stupid and as such, she takes a bit to gather her words- and hopes for the best based on the Guzma she knows back home.]

You're hurt. I- I can heal. A bit. Not much though. But, if you don't need it, it's ok. I- You offered a name for the gift, so I- I should offer something back, but if you don't need it, that's ok.

[Guzma rolls his eyes polite, like he ever gave a shit about manners. When he notices the swap to private, that gets an eyebrow raise, but then it settles back down into a scowl when she voices her concern and her offer to heal him.]

I ain't needin' your pity, nah.

[He's not about to admit that he's not letting anyone heal him as a form of self-punishment, but also...these wounds were from Darin. And Darin left and who knows when he'll be back. Like a weird going departure gift that only makes sense if you have one brain cell and have shounen in your soul.]

It... It's empathy and it's not pity. Not when I know you can handle things. Yet I don't want you falling over in the middle of the road.

If you don't need it, it's ok.

[It's really not, but he doesn't give a shit.]

[She nods, visibility relieved as she grins.]

As if she's scared to ask but knows she should.] would it be ok to let Mushu and Golispod spend time together? If not, it's ok, but I've noticed Mushu seems happier after spending time with Golisopod.

[Guzma's scowl doesn't lessen at all, if anything, it intensifies as he stares at her through the feed. His mouth thins to a tight line as it pulls to one side, as he mulls the question over.

Finally, he lets out an annoy snort through his nose, looking elsewhere with a shrug.]

Fine.

[His gaze snaps back to her, his brow furrowing more.]

I ain't doin' this for you, so don't go twistin' this. It's for the Wimpod—got it?

That's cool.

[He's sincere. A pet that won't leave feathers or other source of germs around to be cleaned up, is very cool to him.

How about Birdbot? Or Robowl like Robocop, but an owl.

I know, right? I spent the first few days after I got doing nothing but playing with it.

[She grins, then sobers at the names.] I like them! But um. Who's robocop?

[She hasn't seen that movie yet!]

Robocop's a cyborg police guy from a movie from a couple years ago. Uh, a couple years ago back home. It'd be an old movie here, if they even have it in this place.

[He thinks for a moment.

There might be an actual robocop in this crazy place.

[ He may not comment (it feels pushy to suggest a name for his own gift, after all) but he's pleased to see the little creation is still being looked after. ]

[It's the best gift EVER!

And she wouldn't think it pushy if he did chime in. All names are given equal weight regardless of Friendship Status.]

What about Athena? She was the Greek goddess of wisdom, and her symbol was an owl.

I like that name, so it's on the list. I even sounds regal, and I do have another owl with a regal name...

[she pauses, finger to mouth in thought. Then, as only a 12-year-old can:] I wonder if An'nai'd get jealous if I named it that?
