[Rude assumes he means something more than just 'a minute' because it had been more than that. And he was used to Reno doing so many strange statements like that. Years of experience.]

[ costa roll. those are good. and he knows how Rude feels about costa shit. he knows how Rude feels about a lot of things, but there's kind of an interesting discrepancy at play here. Rude's already had time to cope with certain, particular things—Reno hasn't. he keeps wondering, did they talk about it already? or was it just too fucking heavy to say out loud? now doesn't feel like the right time, but it also feels like the only time. them having a chill night like this when they've just arrived on a different planet, with so many different variables and too much to deal with, is a front as much as anything.

but he keeps his mouth shut for the moment and just clicks his chopsticks together, waiting to be handed his cali-whatever roll. ]

[Rude picked up one of the rolls with his chopsticks and holds it out, right to Reno's mouth. It's normal for this to happen, so he doesn't even think twice about it.]

The avocado does not please. You're welcome to them. I'm taking a spicy Tuna.

[ even better. Reno grins, bites it right off the chopsticks whole, then leans over to reach for his beer again and maybe take another shot at washing this down. slowly this time. ]

[Which is sadly not a 'no'. Rude will bend to his partner's will when it comes right down to it.]

[ because the answer to if Reno wants to is pretty much always yes. he's never at home, and Rude's is usually the go-to. doesn't like being alone. and considering the state of, like, everything in his life right now, he really doesn't want to be. but he's not pathetic, he can live without it. ]
