[It takes her several days to work up the nerve to send the message, but the people Catra had managed to befriend deserved to know. Adora can't quite bring herself to show her face, but she can manage a voice announcement at least.]

Catra has been ported out. For those that knew her and liked her, remember her fondly.

[And because she knows Catra had made a lot of enemies as well as nominal friends she'd never admit to, Adora can't help adding a little more.]

For the people that didn't like her...get over it and remember her fondly anyway. Earth was the best life she'd ever known, and probably ever will know.

[she's going to bring tea. and fresh cookies. though she figures it's probably 50/50 if Adora will be hungry, it can't hurt.]

[ Huh. Bean had never gotten along with Catra exactly, but their back and forth had been amusing. And, they imported at the same time. Strange, to outlast someone like that. ]

You knew her from before? From wherever she came from?

[Adora doesn't think Professor Delphiki would've gotten along well. At all.]

I did. We grew up together in the Fright Zone.

[ Adora is a good student. She works hard and pays attention. Bean has a hard time imagining her being close friends with someone like Catra, who seemed to abhor hard work as a general concept. ...But that was just his impression of her. Maybe there's more to Catra he didn't get a chance to know. ]

[Roxas swallows hard. There's a big empty place inside him now. Maybe not as big or bad as what Adora's feeling, but impossible to ignore.]

I wish I was. But I know the Fright Zone. It's awful.

[She sighs, exhaling.]

She deserves better, but it's the home she knows.

I believe you. But there's always hope. If someone's alive, no matter how lost in the dark they get, there's hope.

For the sake of brevity, I'll say you have my condolences, and I empathize to the degree I can. It's not much or...perhaps really nothing at all, considering, but it is there.

I wasn't trying. I'd gotten through to her. She...we were...she was happy. Probably for the first time in her life. And she's gone now.

Home...well, you've seen Shadow Weaver in that weird dream. She raised me and Catra, and she was worse to Catra.

Yeah. I remember her. I'm sorry. Everyone deserves the chance to be raised by someone -- well, someone better than that.

[ Ruby is silent at first, even though she'd already started recording her reply. Her mind went blank a little, and then, after a good 20 seconds she finally spoke. ]

I'm sorry.

[ She's sorry that one of Catra's most recent memories was accidentally killing someone. It's one thing to do it on purpose, but another when you're trying to help. Ruby can't help but feel responsible for that, even if it's illogical.

She's also sorry that Catra has to go back to some place awful. Ruby knows how that feels, and how much she'd do to avoid it. She has no idea just how bad Catra had it, but Adora's tone says a whole lot. ]

Hopefully she'll get to come back some day.

[Adora is not great at dealing with sympathy. Or much of anything right now. She just needed to get this out there, and there's not much else that she can do or say.

She does appreciate the gesture, at least.]

[ Adam didn't know her that well. She was so grumpy during most of their interactions - but the last one wasn't so bad. He had a feeling she was more than just a grumpy cat lady.]
