Jaime tends to err towards the businesslike when he posts to the network, responsible for as many things as he is, and Ruka tends not to post video on the network at all, but they both seem to be making exceptions today, Jaime facing the camera with a wide smile. ]

Hey, everyone! We’ve actually got some good news to share today. Some of you might know this already, but...

[ He turns to glance at Ruka—who answers the look with a wordless nod of her own—then holds his hand up to show a ring on his finger. There’s a brief moment before Ruka mirrors the gesture, flashing the camera the sight of her gloveless hand and the matching sparkle of her own ring. ]

We’re engaged!

[ Ruka’s hand drops out of frame, but her smile broadens, a crinkle forming at the corner of her visible eye. ]

We have been for... a while, actually, but it never felt like the right time to say anything. Or... to go through with it. But no time is going to be perfectly stable, so... we’re setting the date. For next month.

It’s going to be great! Our ceremony is gonna be pretty private, but since we’re both gonna be 21 by the time we get married, we’re going to be able to have a real reception. You know, with legal booze and everything. So we hope we’ll see some of you guys there. It’s always great to have a reason to celebrate, though I’m pretty sure I’m the one who’s got the best thing to celebrate. [ Jaime, of course, looks immensely pleased with himself. ]

...oh, and I guess if you have any wedding planning tips, you can send them our way? That’s probably smart. I think it’s gonna be great no matter what though.

And, if anyone’s dying to gatecrash, just let me know ahead of time. [ She’s still smiling, though in a more teasing way. ] So I can pen you into the schedule.

[she's quite delighted, honestly. LIKE THERE ARE A LOT OF CONSIDERATIONS including the "you have both been here so long and there is no telling how long both of you still will be" question but you know what? that question can go hang out way over there and not come to the wedding.]

And as far as tips, I have the numbers of some good caterers and floral places if you don't already have your own set up. They took care of things at my wedding, just recently.

Wish I had any useful advice on wedding planning but my expertize is a little less firm in that area unless you're concerned of any invasions you'd rather avoid.

Congratulations, both of you! Can't say I have any wedding planning tips, all I did for my sister's wedding was throw my military discount at everything when she needed to move the wedding and sometimes give her an opinion on flowers, but if there's anything I can help with, I'd be happy to.
