So, after many months of mulling it over and narrowing things down to what I liked, I think I've finally decided on a last name for myself.

From now on, call me Kurt Tesla.

I'm into science stuff and according to the internet he was a science person. I also just liked the way it sounded.

The internet's not wrong, in this instance. He was one of the science people of the early 1900s. He invented the first Alternating Current motor, though he was never able to make much money from his inventions.

It probably didn't help that he was a contemporary of Thomas Edison, who was very good at making patents and turning public opinion in his favor. I'm pretty sure there was at least one smear campaign targeted at Nikola Tesla that Edison was involved in.

I actually had Edison listed as a potential surname because he was on a list of famous scientists, but I thought it sounded too boring.

I guess it depends on the type of image you want to give off. You want an underdog, then Tesla is the right choice.

Pickin' a name's the one thing I've never had to do—always kinda wondered how people go about it, 'specially when they go for two.

My bosses assigned me the name Kurt when I got the Earth assignment, but since I wasn't a field agent, I didn't get a last name. Thus, I gave myself one, mostly by looking through the internet for ideas.

Wasn't easy to narrow it down, but I like it.

Yeah, it works. I mean, it's a name. With syllables. That isn't just 'Lizardman' or something, which is probably what I'd have come up with.

It's probably a good thing my last name was assigned.

I have no idea. I mean, he'd probably come up with something hipster-y, but apparently according to some people here, I come off as a hipster, too, so...

I'm not a good judge at what constitutes a hipster either, so we're both in that boat.

Yeah. And I don't know, Don might come up with something good. I really don't know anything about his naming skills.
