[It's rare for Nox to address the network, but this is a special occasion. He's even outside! In...Nonah, not Maurtia Falls or the middle of the woods like some sort of half-feral hermit, which was definitely a change. As was the recent addition to the city that was still under construction behind him.
Did you know there were pyramids in Nonah? Because one is certainly being constructed now, and it's made considerable process already. While the construction itself is modern, the lower half of the building that's been largely completed is being covered in dark stone cladding. Though it's unlikely to be mistaken for anything resembling the ones familiar to anyone from Earth: Those from his own galaxy might even immediately recognize the split pyramid design to be very, very similar to the Sith temples of old.]
Despite the recent wave of nuisances that have appeared of late, work on a certain pet project has continued largely on schedule. Which means it is just about time for an announcement.
This is the imPort Museum. My research on the holocrons I can create in this world has progressed to a suitable point to move on to the next phase. Ideally, this museum will permit us to share some aspect of our own respective universes and experiences, both with one another and with the locals that seem so obsessed with us. It may not be its primary purpose, but with any luck, it should provide a suitable distraction for the latter. And hopefully provide us with slightly more breathing room than usual.
So I encourage you all to contribute something- and rest assured it can be anything. Considering how passionately the locals pursue every last detail of our lives, I'm sure even a recording talking about your favorite wild beasts would placate their curiosity to at least some extent. Detailed memories would also be welcomed, with similarly loose restrictions on what exactly it is you wish to share- however, you will need my assistance to record them.
But this museum will be primarily for our benefit. All of us may vanish at any time, without warning, and I am certain leaving something behind for the people you leave behind will be of some small comfort. You may contribute as much or as little as you like to a holocron- whether you wish to simply describe a single momentous occasion in your world, your life's story, or every single detail of your own universe that you can possibly think of. It matters little and will take the same length of time to record.
I will be spending the majority of my time here in Nonah for the foreseeable future. Primarily to supervise the project as it nears completion, but also to personally deal with any threats to it from newly-empowered locals who have suddenly developed rather unfortunate career aspirations. Those of you wishing to arrange a contribution may contact me over the network at your leisure, or simply visit the site at any time. Rest assured, I will know when you arrive.
[Perhaps it wasn't the best way to end a broadcast, but the last bit was largely for the benefit of certain Imperial busybodies who enjoyed the thought of sneaking about and putting their noses in any business they weren't particularly wanted in. But it was true all the same. Nox was spending considerably more time meditating and sensing the world around him now that there were would-be villains starting to crawl out of the woodwork, and there was hardly a better surveillance system for the site than a focused Sith.]

It is a fine thing for you to bring to Nonah.
[Where he currently does reside.]
I shall look forward to also learning more about my fellows.
Re: Video
Any contribution would be welcome.
As I am certain that the means of recording those stories will be unfamiliar to you, I would need to be present for either process.
While I've done sufficient testing to be certain there is no danger to someone who lacks a connection to the Force, I cannot alter the holocrons once they have been used.
And I would prefer to avoid having to sort through multiple incomplete or fragmented recordings until a satisfactory one is obtained.

Very well. Should I meet you at this new museum?

Why the chubba is there a karking Sith Temple in the middle of the crinking city you kung?

Young Skywalker. What a pleasant surprise.
[Somehow, he doesn't sound surprised or pleased. And to be perfectly honest, the Dune Sea wasn't as dry as that response.]
Was that even basic? I was certain the Jedi at least managed to ensure their younglings could at least communicate, don't tell me I was mistaken.
no subject
No, it wasn't.
[ Galatic Basic is, technically, his second language. ]
And I was never a youngling.
[ The last sentence is clipped, an almost -almost- Inner Core Aristocratic accent with just enough shadings of Naboo's pronunciation to spell out it's a learned one. Something he's picked up from Palpatine and Padmè, when they are being formal with someone personally to verbally force distance or when they are addressing the Senate. ]
Since you had difficulty parsing, why is there a Sith Temple being built.
[ Can Nox feel the insults behind the tone? Anakin can't really manage the expressionless mask his wife has perfected, nor can he pull off Palpatine's 'you are an idiot child I am indulging' smirk, but verbally? He really can but that tone there. ]

At least as far as any topics you feel like addressing are concerned, it would be as if they were speaking to you directly.

[Bashfulness, low tolerance for being around other people, paranoia- Edwon could take his pick, really.]
It could also prove illuminating, as far as the phenomena plaguing this world is concerned. Some of us are still around who have experienced some of the more inexplicable and unusual events.
no subject
[He's not exactly the type to share himself, unless it can benefit him in some way.]
It could allow newcomers to analyze past events in more detail than merely describing them would allow, which could lead to new insights. That aspect might be more beneficial than sharing details of our own worlds and galaxies, though there's obviously advantages to that, as well.
And there's nothing wrong with just satisfying people's curiosity. I wouldn't mind hearing about how you apparently dealt with Revan, for example.

I'm considering Coruscanti children's tales and the like. A little bit of comparative culture, since I can't exactly share recipes. After all, one could hardly get Jogan fruit shipped in, could they? In any event, culture is where things come alive, for a museum, I should think.
Some basics, besides that. The history of the Clone Wars, perhaps. I was thinking the Fall and Rise of Revan might be a good one to get you a few more visitors. Rousing tale, that. [It'd be nice if that one annoyed him a little. It serves no other purpose than to be a potential barb.]
And I hope all goes well. By the sounds of it, you are very invested and protective of the project. I can't possibly think why anyone would interfere with the building of a museum.
[Said with such measured surprise and astonishment. So she has gotten under his skin. Good. She also resolves that it's high time to consider planting some obvious surveillance on him. Minorly skilled people, who will of course be sure to their very core that they're being paid by a representative of Jadus if he does anything about it. A few quick switches in personnel up the ladder out of state, and the best he can ever do is suspect she was involved.]

[Her suggestion to include Revan in all the fun prompted what might be an unexpected response, and not likely not the kind she'd hoped for.]
Ha!. You are certainly welcome to try doing Revan's tale justice, Isard. Would you prefer to interview me or will you simply take your best guess as to what happened? If I need to make room in my schedule, I'd prefer to know ahead of time.
And who knows, while you're here you may even discover exactly who would interfere with the museum's construction. There's certainly no shortage of would-be villains being handed advanced weaponry and urged to act on their worse impulses.
no subject
[Ah well, nothing ventured.]
But if you'd like to engage my services, I'm sure I could offer a competitive rate for my employees' time. I'll have a courier bring around a fee structure. Just in case.

Are all the holocrons for public viewing, or would it be possible for some to be set privately aside in the event of a Port-Out? Recordings to preserve details of our home worlds, versus messages to people in the event we vanish— those are two rather separate propositions, in a way.
Re: video
[Well, at least if she'd heard about this from Sal, she'd no doubt have been advised ahead of time that he was situated comfortably somewhere between broken glass and a cornered animal on the sliding scale of geniality.]
However, I am not opposed to an exchange if that is what someone desires as compensation. But if it is your intention to record something personal and private, there are two conditions to be aware of.
First, I will not be the one responsible for its safekeeping, you will take the holocron into your care and make your own arrangements. Second, if you wish to record memories that can be experienced rather than narrated and described, you will be sharing them with me by necessity. Despite my considerable efforts, I've yet to be successful in creating a holocron that can record such experiences without my involvement.
no subject
Hm. Very interesting. The more intimate memories or messages for loved ones, that's-- not really the sort of thing that you ought to be subjected to, and I certainly don't want to shove you in the position of slavish secretary, either. But I'll have a think on what might hit an acceptable middle-ground.
But I do like the sound of your project in general, and I'd like to participate for the museum itself. There's so much information from the past few years, and so many people who come and go, and we lose a lot of generalised knowledge because of turnover.

You know, I run the ImPort Memorial Centre around here -- we do a lot of the same things. Making sure people are remembered and stuff like that. We could probably team up every now and then.
no subject
Whether they donate it to your center immediately or arrange for some other measures to be taken is none of my concern. I simply do not want anyone to mistake my willingness to be involved in such an affair as an agreement to utilize the archives of the museum as a storage facility.

voice;
And you intend to store these holocrons on site.
I could have sworn I tagged this already D|
Naturally, any submitted by imPorts for public viewing will largely be displayed in the museum proper. Those submitted strictly for research purposes will be secured in the Archives.
