[ he's clearly in his office at the hospital, with the little clacky balls and the shittons of heavy textbooks in the background. it looks kind of refined, even if josh is sitting with his feet up on his desk and holding his phone loosely in one hand. ]
Soooo... I've been thinking of like, normal, responsible adult things to do on a weekend that are good for everybody annnnnd barbeques seem to be like the standard good time. So I bought a barbeque and the weather is looking good this weekend, so howsabout it? I'll supply the meat, and like, some veggie options but you're in charge of your own booze.
[ a pause, he points at the screen and squints thoughtfully. ]
... Unless you're not old enough to drink. [he draws his hand back. ] Then no booze for you. And I'll know, don't try to sneak it. I'll just get some sparkling lemonade for you or something.
[ he flicks the clacky balls to get them going. ]
Everybody's invited, especially you newbies. It sucks to be new and know nobody, and like, the Swear-Ins are great but I'm not super into the expectation to sign up. I'm Josh, by the way, Josh Foley. I'm "unsettled" [ heavy airquotes" ] And I work in De Chima General, I'm a healer, and I think that about covers it? Lemme know if you're interested and I'll send you an invite with my address.
