[ Rey is still messing with the camera, leaning into it when it cuts in. There’s some shuffling and noise while she gets everything mounted before sits back and gives the camera a grin with a wave. ]

Hi there. I’m Rey, I’ve just recently arrived. It’s a little mad that there’s so many heroes here. Where I come from, there are definitely folks wanting to fight for what is right but having something like powers is... rare. Maybe I should retire and pick up a hobby instead.

[ She glances away from the camera, tucking a piece of hair behind her ear and trying not to reveal a heavier truth hiding beneath what should have been a light comment, given what she’s seen her power is capable of. Her grin is a little less enthusiastic, a little more guarded when she looks back at the camera, trying to force herself to move past it. ]

Anyway-- Looks like I'll be working at the Reclamation Yard, so if you're looking to offload or buy any scrap I guess I'm the girl you'll need to talk to.

Hello, Rey and welcome! I'm Rimuru. I'm not sure if we can all be called "Heroes", that's mostly what everyone else believes we are, regardless of what we think.


Also, I've been looking for a sword. I imagine there is no such thing over your scrap place?

Yes, it does seem to be what's being asked of us whether or not we agree. [ Her nose scrunches a little considering that. Moving along-- ] I haven't seen any swords yet but I just got set up here. There might be one, or maybe something you could have smelted if there's a swordsmith.

[Between this one and Finn, the Porter seemed to be feeling strangely capricious with who it wanted in this world. But seeing as how the last Rey had arrived with a lightsaber- albeit a nonfunctional one- he was going to be exercising caution and utilizing an old alias to avoid unnecessary attention.]

Shall we assume you don't recall being here before, then?

[A rhetorical question to be sure, but also a way to less than subtly inform this "new" arrival that things were likely to become a muddled mess of confused personal connections she may not recall making.]

It's of no concern to me of course, I don't believe we spoke more than once. But I imagine this is a potential complication best identified before encountering anyone you had closer ties with.

Correct. At least once before. I can't speak to whether or not there were more instances, I'm only aware of the one and had no reason to go digging.

Here's to hoping you didn't make any enemies, I suppose. Not that it's terribly likely, even counting those from our own galaxy.

We may not all like one another, but here we at least tolerate one another. I'm told there was a truce brokered prior to my arrival, and it seems to have held so far. To date we've had soldiers of the Republic, Imperials, Stormtroopers, Mandolorians, Jedi...even a few Sith.

I haven't gotten around to inventorying everything yet, but maybe we could find something to fit your needs. For patch repairs on your paneling or something else? I can keep it in mind and keep an eye out.

[ Excuse Rey as she's just sort of... entirely stunned seeing the general. She's just so young. It takes her brain a couple of minutes to stop short circuiting before she can really internalize the second part of her message, but it's obvious when it clicks, the corners of her mouth pulling up. It is a bit strange though isn't it? I mean different species have abilities that humans don't sometimes - and that's it's own trip - but yeah.
