[ Leave it to Zari to stage the perfect first video of herself. With ring lights staged around her room and on her communicator, she flashes a bright smile at the video and wags her fingers. ]

Hello~ Not to, like, add to the numerous introductions being made... But I'm here doing just that. I'm Zari.

[ :D ]

I'm new in town, super exhausting... [ slightly exaggerated and with a playful roll of her eyes ] But that's really neither here nor there. I've been given the job of talent manager for aspiring nik-nak influencers... which like, great. I was super big on CatChat back home and a self made millionaire by 19.

[ And clearly not humble about any of this ]

But- I figure why stop there? I'm sure the Nik-Nak-er's will keep me plenty busy, but I'll be willing to take clients for other gigs too.

[ Another big smile before she clears her throat and holds up one finger. ]

Another thing, before I forget... I totally knew all the hot spots back home- but obvi this is totally different. So I'd super appreciate tips on the best places around here. Until then- [ She winks at the camera and blows a kiss ] super appreciate it.

[ Kon grins at the screen as he lets a fashion attendant work on the immaculate blue-silver suit he is wearing, something like a tuxedo but with a much more daring line. And much more form-fitting. Work can be fun, or boring, but either way, he is willing. It pays nicely. ]

[ She pauses to assess what exactly is going on in his video with a little tilt of her head. ]

How long is 'a while'? Just curious.

[ Kon pauses to consider, staring of into the distance, and his eyes grow a little wider as he realizes. Whoah. ]

Huhn. Almost a year now. I hadn't realized. Not as long as others, but longer than I thought.

[ He smiles at her as he returns his gaze fully to her. ]

I arrived just before an apocalyptic confrontation with multiversal versions of the Muses of Old.

Multiversal versions of "muses of old"? Like. Greek muses?

[ Because... she knows a thing or two about Greek Gods and having to confront them. ]

Sounds like... a lot.

Yes, those. They were feuding and their feud nearly destroyed this world.

[ He shakes his head. That had been a pain in the ass. ]

It was, but since then, its been a lot less wild here. Which is nice. Still a lot of weird, but less so.

I totally get it. [ See? This is a very empathetic tone... ] We just fought the Fates and it was exhausting.

But honestly... I didn't even get the chance to see how it changed everything because next thing I knew, I'm here. Glad to see it's just as crazy as back home, at least.

That is never fun. Sorry you had to deal with that, too.

[ He shakes his head. The more the multiverse changes, the more it stays the same. ]

Most days, it's not as crazy as my home was, at least. But weird stuff happens about once a month.

All in a days work as superheroes, right? [ Ok, so maybe she's not exactly a superhero back home- but she runs with the crowd and fills in sometimes. ]

Ok, so I should totally be ready for the crazy stuff... Um- if you don't mind me asking- what's with the whole... [ she gestures vaguely, but means to indicate the fashion attendant working on his suit all that jazz. ]

[ He grins and nods, because that's his life.

At her question, he chuckles. ]

My assigned job here is as a fashion model, and I am being prepped for a shoot.

[ Well. She's an interesting one, isn't she? The familiarity of something Allison can only call over important vapidness is strangely ... comforting. Known. Even at the girl being all empty air. She really does have the weirdest clashes between the three parts of her life, working out how to merge them together. The figure out how to be a person with all of them coexisting. ]

You made a million talking to cats in your world?

[ And why would any want to help people with something like nicknack collecting. This place never stops being so bizarre. ]

Oh, no. Not like that.

[ She smiles a little. ]

It was a social media app back home. But I made my millions by developing my brand, marketing, and being over-all, a bad ass.

[ Okay, then. At least that more realistic sounding. Sort of. Not the sort of thing her world had, but one that she had more of an understanding with over a year and half in this world. Where social media existed everywhere, on so many little platforms, through these little communication devices. ]

That sounds a little more sensible now.

[ Seriously, she not ready for million made by a crazy cat lady.
This place had brand insanity down, but that was too far. ]

It would be v weird to make money just by talking to cats.

[ Not that she'd complain? Cats are cute after all... And let's just casually not mention the cat ear filters, etc. on CatChat. ]

I tamed a dragon when I was like, 9 years old... one thing led to another, viral sensation, and now here we are... Or rather... now I'm here and all of that means nothing until I re-brand myself and continue to do what I do best.

[ This reaction comes even faster. ]

You tamed a-- your world has dragons? Like real ones?

[ It's a testament to how long she's been here that somehow a million made off cats insane, but dragons being real very likely might not be. ]

They're not common.

[ Zari shrugs a little. ]

It was at this sort of amusement park called Heyworld. And not actually something that happens usually.

[ She's already past telling that part of her story, trying to figure out just how to brand herself here... Sorry, the dragon story is probably at the bottom of the 'interesting things that have happened to Zari Tarazi' list now. ]

[ Dragons as real, not common, and obviously not worth her time.
This place really didn't stop once it started, again, did it. ]

Weird. That sort of thing happen to you usually?

I have. So. Many. Stories.

[ She grins a little. ]

And like, since this isn't home, it should totally be fine to tell them here. But basically I spent the past... idk [ yes she said the abbreviation ] year? With my brother and his time traveling friends that fix history when things happen to mess it up.

[ Timetravel has done a whole lot more fucking up Allison's life than helping it. With the side of only still being worth it in that Five did eventually make it back to them. Even if did seem like every time he used his powers to time-travel it was more proof he had no ability to control that part of his powers at all. ]

Wow. Fixing what kind of things?

What's Nik-Nak?

[Excuse him, he's old and not caught up with the latest apps, especially here. But he is pinged by a few key words - like talent manager and millionaire. He appears on screen with his full costume and helmet on, obscuring his face.]

Right? So I was confused about that at first too...

[ Trying not to pay too close attention to the whole still wearing costume thing... If there's anything she's learned from her time with the Legends, it's that heroes are eccentric. ]

But it's like an app that's apparently all the rage right now. Short 15 second videos or like... up to 60 seconds I guess can be put together... And they do like jokes or dance moves or whatever they feel will get them the most views and followers.

I neither joke nor dance.

[Although many do regard him as a joke...]

But you said you also take other clients? I've had experience in Hollywood and beyond.

It's totally not for everyone.

[ It's... not really for her either. But that's neither here nor there since she's just a manager for aspiring influencers. ]

Yeah- I mean. I haven't yet? But that's the plan, at least. As soon as I find my footing here, so to speak. [ A pause ] How much Hollywood experience, would you say?

I recently completed a movie as...

[He hesitates but maybe giving this identity away here was fine since it was an alternate world. It was hard not to be proud and boast about it.]

... both director and writer. I've done a lot of stunt work and special effects in the past. Also some acting. You could say I have been in and out of the industry for decades.

No way. So you're already like halfway there, to the whole fame and fortune part of everything then.

[ She smiles brightly and appears to be typing notes with one hand on a laptop off screen. ]

What do they have you doing here? And, just curious, out of the things you listed having experience with, do you want to focus on any of those or just kind of market yourself as a jack of all trades?

The thing is, I'm already infamous. The movie is a biopic about my life and exploits and the culmination of my creative genius!

[There's a broad grandness to his manner and words, even with a sweeping gesture.]

[Then his shoulders slump.]

But they gave me a job here that... is nothing I have any experience with. Assisting craft services at the studio.

I totally get it.

[ She frowns a little, looking away from her laptop to focus completely on him again. ]

It's hard when they waste your potential here. I'm a multimillionaire, famous influencer back home, not a talent manager. But I guess I know enough from doing what I do that they thought this would be a decent enough fit?
