[ Kaneki is ready to make sense of what happened last month. He isn't sure how to even start this conversation, but he will do his best. Text is the chosen format for this post because he still feels panic every moment he talks about it. It wouldn't be fun to have a panic attack in front of the whole network. ]

I would like to talk about last month. I know currently we are all a bit lost and don't remember how we got to the Swear-In (Arrival Ceremony), but I'd like to speak about my experience and try to find out what happened.

Last month, on the 7th of September, I woke up in a whole different world. It was a world with imPorts and many familiar faces, but very different from this one; imPorts had taken over the place, formed factions and ruled. There was no government to answer to, there were no tattoos, and every faction had a Gate. [ maybe this sounds a tiny bit familiar. ]

I don't know much about alternative timelines, but it appears that's what that place was. I ended in the body of that world's Kaneki; I know this happened to some other imPorts, but not to all. And then I just suddenly woke up here again and I'm wondering if this is the original universe/timeline I was originally brought into since there are somethings that are different now.

Does anyone know what happened and what is happening? Has this ever happened before?

I'm still very lost about everything that happened. But in all fairness, I think all of us feel like that right now, regardless of how many universes we have been to since last month.

That is exactly what happened to me, except that I was in my own body. Or the body of the alternate me.

I'm not sure if this has happened before or if we have been brought back. There have been some changes that support us *not* being in the universe we originally came from. Besides our own home worlds. Can I assume you no longer have a tattoo?

I don't have the tattoo, no. Also the Swear-In is no longer called Swear-In and the Porters are now called Gates. I'm not sure if there are other differences, but those are the main ones so far.

I heard something similar happened back towards the start of the year. People found themselves in another city, where the government hated imPorts.

And when they came back, has time passed by here? I mean, my boss said I was still coming in to work but that wasn't me, I wasn't here...

It sounds like something out of a dream.
But after hearing what happened back in February, I don't doubt it.
Do you remember much about the factions? The gates?

How long were you there, if you don't mind me asking?
I'm trying to put together a timeline.

I was just told about that. I had no idea this was a normal occurrence.

About that place, I arrived in the body of my alternate-self Ken Kaneki on the 7th of September. He belonged to a faction called White Tower, which was the main ruling faction of that world. They were totalitarian. But I think most factions were.

The world was taken over and ruled by imPorts. I don't know much about how that happened. In White Faction territory in Florida, there was a facility with the Porter there and all new imPorts that arrived had to choose a Gate which would lead to the many different imPort factions of the world. The facility was protected by something called "Deathdome" which didn't let anyone approach it, but I don't know why and who made it but who ever touched it would die, I was told.

Each faction had a Gate to receive imPorts from. It seems imPorts would get sick if they moved too far away from these Gates, so they sort of kept everyone of each faction in a physical location. Mid-month, on the 14th, there was a big convention called Synod which lasted 7 days, and where all factions met; I didn't got there but I know something happened and the Deathdome started to expand. I'm not sure how that was fixed and I left before learning anything further about it.

I can tell the name of several factions, but I only know about 2. There was the White Tower, Krakoa, Olin Vale, Empire of Light, Equality Before Law, and some others but I don't remember their names.

White Tower was the strongest because they were closer to the Porter. They believed in imPort supremacy and full authority above all. They tortured and killed, and they were absolutely insane. They were ruled by the High Chancellor Tony Stark and Joseph Kavinsky was his right hand. His wife, Rey Palpatine, hired Ken Kaneki to assassinate Stark, but because I took over his body, that never happened. My alternate self had his own plans to assassinate Tony Stark as well and take the position of High Chancellor, but that never happened. Tony Stark was killed later on in the month during the Synod, though, and Rey Palpatine took over as the new Chancellor.

I ran from White Tower before the Synod, and saved someone called Joshua Foley. Later on I learned he was one of the rulers of Krakoa faction and was kidnapped and tortured for a year by the order of Tony Stark. Krakoa was a faction that wanted to protect young imPorts and they used to be part of the White Tower, I think. It was ruled by a council of five - David Alleyne, Jane Porter, Rimuru Tempest, Alison Hargreeves and Joshua Foley - and their Gate was on an island but I'm not sure where the island was located. because I saved one of their leaders, I was allowed to stay there.

I don't know anything else about the other factions. I know Equality Before Law had a mobile Gate and they were nomads. And I know there was a group of Rougue imPorts trying to stop the White Tower, called the resistance.

It sounds like everyone's had some varyingly different experiences. I didn't end up anywhere like that. I was stuck in Jeopardy for the month, then was at the swear in.

Ochako thinks, long and hard, and wonders if the reason she was gone for that month, with no recollection of even being back home for a second - like what usually happens, even for an instant - is because...she didn't exist in that alternate timeline. That or, somehow, maybe she...

She feels sick all of a sudden. Sick, tired, and frustrated. Why did something like this have to happen? Why did all her friends, the people she loves and cares about, have to suffer like that? Why couldn't she have been there to support them?! Ugh, she hates this place!! Hates it so much!! Hates how it puts everyone through so much turmoil and they can't do one single thing about it! They just have to sit down and take it.]

i'm sorry. for what u must've been put thru. and everyone else, too. it's not fair. if u want any company, or to just talk abt it...idk. i'm good at listening. and i think maybe evryone could use some company rn.

I don't recall anything of another world this time... when we came back from "the City" at the beginning of this year, I remembered all of that.

This time, one moment it was early September and the next, I
was at the ceremony.

However... no one seems to have noticed we were gone.
