I want Yuki to understand that his owner loved him very much and that leaving him behind wasn't what she wanted, but she wanted to make sure he was with good owners and...

Oh, I can certainly help with that.

His previous owner was an animal empath. They had a very different relationship. So yeah, I think it would help, a lot.
