[The first thing people might notice is the fact that this is taking place in a graveyard. Tombstones everywhere...and what appears to be zombies or something of the like tied to a tree behind him. Xue Yang looks a little bored.]
This world likes to classify things. Hero or villain. I don't see myself as either but many on my world consider me to be dangerous and therefore...a villain. But then again, does a villain ever really see themselves as the bad guy? We are simply doing the things that we deem is right. And is that not what dictates how everyone lives their life? Just because of the choices I made or the actions I took towards my goals are not always deemed as socially acceptable does not immediately make me deplorable.
[He hears the corpse behind him getting unruly and turns to look at him. He tosses a small stone at it and strikes it right between the eyes which does enough to distract it for awhile. He turns back to the camera.]
Anyway, I am curious. How many of you are considered a villain by the standards put in place by this place or your own world? Or am I simply surrounded by only people who see themselves as heroes.
[ooc: you are also welcome to simply question him about the thing behind him.]

[Not even a polite greeting to start things off.]

Simply sitting here asking a question. Is there something wrong with that?
[He smirks. Not going to give up his reasoning for having a corpse behind him that easily.]
no subject
[He can only assume they're puppets, given where he comes from.]
Who are they? Why would you do this now?
no subject
I have to check on my skills and make sure I haven't lost my touch. It's been months since I played around so I had check and see if I can still control them. What does it matter, who they are? They came from around here.
[He waves his hand dismissively towards the graves around him.]
no subject
[That should have been obvious from the start, in all fairness, and it certainly doesn't make the situation any better.]
This is desecration! Return them all to where they belong!
no subject
[Is he feeling a little bitter about certain people leaving while he continues to be stuck here? Maybe...]
no subject
[Wen Ning is pacing angrily back and forth in his room, the device held in front of him.]
Put them back to rest, Xue Yang.
no subject
[He has zero intentions of listening.]
Are you going to come here and make me?
no subject
[Wen Ning jabs a finger at the screen.]
I will. I'm going to find you and stop you myself if I have to. If you're smart, you'll put them back where they belong before I get there.

Xue Yang. You're still here?

no subject
You must know. Lan Jingyi went home like the others.
no subject
I'm aware. What difference does that make? People leave here all the time.
no subject
What life you make here is up to you. You have freedom here. Freedom from the sects. To make things right again. Jingyi has proven you do the ability to make friends.
no subject
[There is a smirk on his face as he says that rather sarcastically. He doesn't really care about making friends. Clearly that isn't something he is allowed to have long term so what is the point?]
no subject
Jingyi isn't daozhang. But Jingyi and Daozhang are your friends. Jingyi learns from me, but there are things you can't learn from the books.
I don't know what else I could teach you other than hold the friendship in your heart and try to trust people again and don't kill others.
If you ever wanted to meet daozhang again in spirit, he would want you to meditate and choose the path of enlightenment.
no subject
[Especially now. One of the reasons he is playing with the dead is because he is trying to let out some frustrations.]
Who said I wanted any help from you at all? All you sect people do is look down on others and think you are better then them.

I'd largely consider myself a hero, but I've also played a villain by necessity. So do you actually believe the moral relativity bit, or are you being greasy?
no subject
[He pauses though. Weighing what she says in his mind and trying to figure out the choice of description. Finally he can't help but ask.]
I'm afraid I don't understand 'being greasy'.
no subject
Realistic, is how I think of it. My principles have led to destruction and death for my enemies. Enemies who believed, with all their hearts, that they were doing the right thing and protecting their way of life. Of course I'm a villain to them.
[ She pauses, pursing her lips as she considers her next words. ]
Then there's folks who know they're causing suffering and don't mind, because they're filled with an unnatural hatred and unconcern. For them, words are merely a tool and a weapon. That's greasy. Like a slippery fish.
no subject
[Xue Yang is definitely greasy. But he has been less so while in this place and yet it doesn't seem to matter. And now that the last person who has ever bothered to be his friend and look past that is gone he isn't sure why he has bothered to stop being greasy.]
no subject
Tricky business, is what I'd call you. What's changed between home and here, then?
no subject
The people I hate most aren't here. I have no reason for carrying out any of my revenge. No one here has given me reason to hate them so why would I bother to waste my energy on killing them?
{Plus he made a friend...someone who was willing to give him that chance. But that person is now gone.]
no subject
[ Yenh is somewhat relieved. She has decided a vengeance-focused killer with no targets is reasonably safe, though she's still left herself plenty of room to wonder what he did before. Her eyes drift to the zombies-or-something, and she raises her eyebrows. ]
So, who are your friends?
no subject
Hardly a friend. More like a toy. Something to keep me from getting too bored.
