[boy, all those attacks have been a real downer. if you happen to be taking a break from the news around eight o'clock and flipping channels, you might happen to stumble upon:]
[despite the episode having been running for a bit, it seems that they're only now getting ready to investigate the ominous house looming behind the group. Jonathan seems to be in good spirits all the same...probably because he's been the cause of the delay.]
Thank you for taking the time to explain the EMF meter to me - it's really quite fascinating. I suppose we ought to head inside now, so you can hopefully show it to me in action.
[he chuckles good-naturedly, like he doesn't really expect much out of it. one of the other crew members begins to narrate the history of the house as Jonathan and the others start hefting equipment, but the whole thing is quickly drowned out by the sound of sirens. the shot is bathed in red and blue strobe light as the cameraman turns to encompass the cop cars pulling up.
there's a muffled curse, but it doesn't come from Jonathan, who is setting down the heavy equipment to wander over to the police quickly spilling out of the cars. he seems politely curious more than anything else.]

[the camera jerks to the ground, and the show abruptly transitions to commercials]
