Maybe he thinks, what with Cu being out of the state, he won't notice that Joseph's slacking off a little bit.]

So did anyone have a really weird dream lately? I usually have some kind of weird ones, but this one was like a bunch put together. It's been bothering me. It's probably just me.

Oh! And I'm trying to catch up on modern music! Can you guys name some bands I should be listening to? I'm really into The Beatles.

[If only he knew how insanely popular the Beatles are to understand that goddamn everyone likes the Beatles. JoJo sighs, leaning back into his chair a liiiiittle bit more. It's seriously only a few moments from falling and taking all two hundred pounds of muscle Joseph is with it.]

I guess some pretty important stuff has been happening lately, huh... People getting kidnapped, pissed off Russians, and whatever. But there's enough actual 'heroes' around to handle it all, right?

[Bottom line is that he doesn't want to wind up involved if he doesn't have to be. The chair beneath him creaks loudly. Maybe if you keep him talking, you'll get to see the big lummox fall on his ass.]

Well obviously he's none the wiser (what is a vampire even?), but he won't press the issue. ]

My grandson and grandfather are both here, and we're all within three years of age.

Weird stuff is always going to happen here.

[ Joestar. Grey hadn’t have thought much of that before. Now he makes the connection. ]

is one of them called jonathan ?

Oh, yeah, that's my grandpa! You've met him?

Age has never really bothered Grey. Gilliam had been so much older than him. But to think of Jonathan, who'd seemed so young, as a grandfather? That's so strange. ]

[ Though, he was sure he'd gotten it right. He'd liked Jonathan a great deal, he was sure he'd retained that properly. ]

Jonathan Joestar is my grandfather, and twenty years old- two years older than I am right now. My grandson- Jotaro Kujo, is a year younger than I am.

[ That's impossible. Grey stares at the video, disbelieving. ]

We're all taken from different time periods.

[ The porter can do that? Different worlds, yes, he'd understood that - just about. But different time periods? ]

Is kind. And yes, he is. More than he should be.

[ Joseph is far more brash. Grey hardly knows him, but that’s already clear. He doesn’t think he’d be so comfortable around this particular Joestar. ]

is it a bad thing to be kind ?

... If you're too kind, then people take advantage of you. Use you. And then where does that leave you? Without anything. Sometimes too much kindness can get you killed.

[ He doesn’t answer right away. That makes sense. He can’t imagine why anyone would want to hurt Jonathan, but everyone has enemies. And of course, some people don’t need to have a reason to hurt someone else. ]

then people who are less kind should protect him .
