So...for those of you who knew her, Lady Satsuki's gone. [A beat.] Uh, that's Satsuki Kiryuin, though I don't think there were any other Satsukis here.
[But what else to say? He's not the type of person who likes delivering bad news without trying to lighten the mood, even if he's not in a particularly good mood himself about this.]
...it could be worse. It's like they say: sun sets, sun rises, right?
[Sun rises...ah.]
I had wanted to try ending this on a lighter note, but nothing's dawned on me yet. Oh well.
[It's the best he can do rn, take it or leave it.]

I'm sorry. I wish I had gotten the chance to know her. She seemed very kind.

IM SO SORRY THIS IS SO LATE Ive neglected this guy for too long this month sob
But he sighs, sounding amused.]
You're telling me. But I'm not the kind of man who lets things get to him! You have to keep your head held high and looking towards the sun on the horizon.
Anything less, and you might lose your way.
[Even by his standards this is nonsensical shounen rambling, but he's trying to shrug off his sadness here.]
AUDIO;
Were you two close?

[Also the whole Honnouji gang is like one big family, but he doesn't bother mentioning that.]
audio;
I hope you two see each again sometime.

What are words for losses of indeterminate times? The whims of who stays and who goes by Porter are as rapacious as ever. It reminds her a bit more of Reiner losing Bertholdt, as far as importance goes. Different structures, similar depths of emotion, for different reasons.
Annie doesn't really use Fulcrum's encryption for much, being sparse in what she doesn't want to make easy to find on Network (keeping it off network is the better solution, in her mind), but she's... more comfortable asking what she does on that then leaving it a public message for anyone to easily run across. Not that she expects anything as an answer, but it's what she wants to ask. ]
How are you all holding up?
[ Sunset, sunrise, dawning of another day jests aside, but that's indicative enough as is. Concern's still not easy for Annie to wrangle with, and she can't quite keep it out of her voice. "I'm sorry" is such a fruitless thing to say, to her, so she doesn't say it. At least not straight away. ]

But that's just the place Sanageyama has in the group. He doesn't let it show things get to him, or he'll abandon any sense of dignity he has and make an idiot out of himself to keep spirits up. Hell, it's not like they're any stranger to losing Satsuki in a way other than actually dying, so if anything this isn't entirely unfamiliar...and at least she's going to be better off at home anyway
the OVA aside.]Beats me. Haven't spoken to the others yet - but they won't take it well, that's for sure.

[ She's acknowledging what he's said. It's not as if she expects otherwise, but that's why she's asking in the first place. She can also understand what brushing past sentiments does for Sanageyama, how it makes it easier - partly because he is who he is. People can take it at face value or not, but they probably will. What else do you do? Insist? The conundrum of how to handle departures from here is as difficult to navigate as the arrivals are difficult to ascribe to any set pattern.
They still have their support network, their family, to what degree it was before the rest had come in. More or less. As a follower at heart, she can sympathize to a degree with the feeling in losing the person you respect enough to venture into hell for, whatever the means. ]
Things are okay for her, when she's gone back to?
dammit cold hands i said preview not post
...for a while. But then they'll get worse before they get better.
[It's strange thinking back to it, really. His rematch with Satsuki, Rei, evil clones and a giant mecha. It's actually ridiculous to think about, what with how normal things here are by comparison. Dangerous at times, but nothing as abnormal as things back home could get.]
She's going through some stuff. The others don't really notice when she's off, but...it's as clear as day to me.
But she'll be fine. She'll get through it, and the future's pretty bright from then on.
i understand this pain too well
It's the people we watch most closely that we see the most minor changes in.
[ Or major, if they're not so gradual that you only realize as you step back that they've been changing all along, but that's not the sentiment she's speaking about. It's nothing she clarifies. It's just her note on what this means to him, along with listening to what it is he says.
She really can't imagine what degree of crazy their world gets, the disconnected pieces she's heard more than enough to paint a corner of that confusing canvas. She'll take his word on what he says. ]
I'm not sure if you've got plans for the first part of next weekend or not, but if you were interested in seeing how your instruction paid off, you're welcome to come see.
[ It's a purposeful light interlude, an offhand remark meant to be as easy to dismiss as the content is relatively silly. It makes it easier for her to follow up with saying: ]
I'm sorry things are going to feel difficult for a while, but... I'm glad none of you have been left on your own. Family helps.
[ Their family, composed of the elements it is - any family chosen, any family born into. People have complicated relationships with them all, for better and worse. She is glad none of them have found themselves suddenly alone, without any of those they call family (or close friends) around them. She can imagine it helps. It's something she wishes Armin had, not that she'll say as much; she hopes it makes it easier in degrees for Uzu, Houka, and Ira. The rest, too, but dynamics are... a bit different as she takes them into account. She's not sure what bonds Ryuuko has to work around the idea of what it means to not have Satsuki here, arguments on network aside. ]

I was seriously unprepared though. I mean, thank god it wasn't Gamagori.
I don't think I've ever heard a single frog pun in my life.

...I'm really sorry, Uzu. [She was about to ask, "Are you okay?" but then decided that was probably not the best question to ask.]

She's better off at home though, it's...not that big a deal. Just wanted to let people know.

[Her voice trails off. They had been a big help when she lost a lot of people from her home. For a while she isn't sure how to continue, until...]
I could come over, if you want. [Not just for Uzu, but for everyone else. And why not? She was friends with them too. And she knew Satsuki. Even for a short while.]

[It's a nice offer, but...]
...look, don't take this the wrong way but- Inumuta, Gamagori, Matoi...they're not really the kind of people who like too much company when stuff like this happens.
[He doesn't even know if she knows Ryuko, but he's throwing her in there anyway. It's all they're down to, along with Senketsu
and sukuyo who's also gone in the future]Not immediately, anyway. I mean just the first two.
[Of course it's barring notoriously anti-social teenager ryuko matoi.]
Some other time, alright?
