[Darin's been relatively quiet lately, and when the feed kicks on, one would be able to see why. It appears that during the protests that swept through all of the major cities, his forge in Nonah was heavily vandalized. There's still graffiti around, but the mess has been cleaned up for the most part. Despite that, Darin doesn't seem upset.]

So...I've been giving things a lot of thought. The protests that went down awhile ago...I'm sure I'm not the only one it affected. Truth be told...it kinda stirred up a bunch of really bad memories from back home for me. I bailed on Nonah for a bit to get myself sorted and I saw a lot of imPorts dealing with this in similar ways.

It hurt. Probably more than a lot of us care to admit.

[He sighs.]

I get the protests were a cover for...something. I get it. But I get the feeling there's a lot of you, like me, who want to do something about it.

[Darin starts pacing about his forge.]

Back home I had to overcome a lot of prejudices based on some really superficial crap. I won't bore you with the details, but I had to prove to people back home that I wasn't a danger to them. I did so by being the best damn blacksmith the kingdom of Alvale had ever seen. My work spoke for me so I wouldn't have to. And...I think we need to do something like that here.

I think we need to need to do something that speaks to the normal citizenry. I think we need to show everyone that we're just people too...people with extraordinary circumstances. And to do so, I think we need to do some actual good that doesn't involve punching monsters into the sun.

I want to build a park. Right here in Nonah. And if there's anyone out there who knows anything about zoning and landscaping and carpentry? Well...I really want your help. And most important? I don't think we should use our powers. We wouldn't really be sending a message if we could just plunk a park down in a day because we all have super abilities. I think we need some elbow grease for this one.

I've already got the support of Princess Allura of Altea. She's going to help me with the bureaucracy because who knew building a park involved paperwork? Plus, I'd like the input and hopefully endorsement of any other imPort leaders in the other cities. Either way...if you want to make a difference and build a spot for imPorts and civilians alike? Let's hear your ideas.

So, uh, you probably knew Taako? Green elf, super fashionable, really, really good at magic? He, um... he went home a couple weeks ago, but he used to do magic lessons in the backyard, for anyone who was interested. He calls... called it Wizard Kindergarten, which is a little diminutive, but anyway. Um. Since he's not here right now, I'm gonna take over the magic lessons 'til he gets back. I'm a better detective than I am a wizard, but I'm still pretty good, and I'm gonna do my best at teaching. Lessons are on Thursday afternoons, unless Mauritia Falls is getting blown up or set on fire again, and they're in the backyard at House #3, in the Government Housing district. Let me know if you're interested!
