Enter one Swamp Nymph [Video]

[The image on the video looks like Winry. And kind of sort of sounds like Winry. But the way she talks is different. And she's acquired a shawl of Spanish moss and a wreath of wild orange leaves.]

I am in need of assistance.

[She pushes her loose hair back like it weighs a lot more than it does.]

I have been cursed, and the one who cursed me has not only taken my powers, but locked me into this form!

[Her hands flutter down like leaves on a tree, indicating her body. Distaste is definitely the expression of the day.]

This is not as I am! I am Iyanna, of the wetlands folk. I need to return to my home, but to do so, I must have someone to break the curse put upon me. If there art any who can assist me, I shall reward him or her handsomely!

[Oops. Another lightning strike. Winry fancies herself cursed swamp nymph.]

Oh...and one other thing - I have only four sunsets to break this curse! So please, if you know of a way to assist me, please, come forth!

[She stalks in front of the camera, somehow giving the impression of trailing fabric and a long, long dress. Maybe she's channeling Elsa, too?]

My first clue came to me in the form of a frog!

Rebirth. Growth. [She huffs, frustrated.] The ability to escape difficulties, for hopping away. I do not know how it applies to my curse. Am I supposed to change?

[Aren't curses normally solved by like... something emotional?]

I am not sure what is dangerous to this body. [She pouts.]

[Iyanna considers the possibility. Meanwhile, she strokes a glass jar, with a golden frog inside it.]

Why is it so dangerous? Are these bodies so very fragile?

Relative to other living creatures, not really, but there are still a lot of things that could kill you.

[Not that he really wants to talk about them.]

Is that the frog?

[He's... mostly surprised that there is indeed a frog.]

[She stops to frown at the camera of the communicator, and tosses her hair back.]

Can you help me break the curse?

I have no idea what you're talking about, what curse? No, hang on, I'll....give me a minute.

[Because that is all the time he needs to frown himself and head from his room to hers. He knocks on the door first, giving her a moment to respond and let him enter so he can get some sort of explanation for this.]

[The room has changed. All right, Zoey's bed is still in there, but the dog isn't. And there are palmetto leaves strewn about, with more Spanish moss.

"Iyanna" is confused at Ed's question of not understanding a curse - why shouldn't he know what one is? She makes a noise at the knock, presumably to allow him in.]

The curse. [She repeats.] He cursed me, and put me in this form! [Her hands flutter along, indicating her body.

[When Ed doesn't see Zoey, he simply assumes the dog might be in another room for the time being, more focused on what is going on with Winry. He enters when he hears her, unsure what to make of it. And his expression likely evidently betrays that as he questions her.]

I'm still not sure what you mean. As far as I know you haven't been cursed. Who cursed you, and how is it broken, exactly?

[Is this from her staying up too late working on things? She's never seemed quite this bad about it before. And where did the plants even come from? Not that Ed is in her room much but even so it's still strange.]

[She settles onto the chair of the vanity, studying Ed as he speaks. Iyanna's mouth is still turned down.]

A demi-god cursed me, turning me into this human form. I have but four sunsets to find a cure, else I die! No creature wants to die. And he stripped me of my powers - I cannot summon the creatures of the glades to help me in my search.

[Iyanna gestures toward a large jar, with a golden frog in it.] This is my first clue to my cure, but I do not understand it. How can a frog be this color?

Okay, okay. How does that help us cure it? Gold? I could help on that front. Not sure what the frog has to do with it, exactly.....?

[He just frowns still, listening as she tries to explain. When she mentions dying, that gets his attention. Turning his attention to the frog. Not really playing along so much as genuinely bewildered and confused, not to mention concerned when Winry genuinely seems to believe this so obviously he's roped in to helping. Somehow....]

It's the first of four clues. I will get one each day to assist me, but if the clues aren't solved, then I will die!

[A very dramatic pout, there. How could that demi-god be so callus and cruel?]

Frogs stand for change, transformation, coming from little tadpoles as they do. But I do not know what I am supposed to change - this body has no transformation powers!

[Iyanna rises and stalks around the room. She doesn't move like Winry, with her deliberate stride, but more like she's dancing.]

Transformation. I....guess. But I have no idea to help on that front. I mean, there's alchemy, but.

[But they both know human transmutation is forbidden. Not to mention impossible. So he can't help by transmuting Winry herself. He watches her, confused and trying to think but distracted. Her movements are so unfamiliar to the Winry he knows that he can't help the feeling of more wrong in this whole situation.]

Does a frog have a different meaning to you? [Iyanna stops to look at Ed. Her eyes narrow sharply.]

Perhaps the frogs is to lead me to you! You are golden!

[She stalks closer to him, leaning close and peering into his eyes.]

[Ed is considering the question when she seems to solve that dilemma on her own. Him.

Of course he's taken aback by that, flustered and trying to ignore the heat at his cheeks as a result.]
