[Video] Forward dated to the 17th
[The moment Wing appears on the network, one might wonder where his obnoxiously positive aura had gone to. Next, you might realize that Wing's face is speckled with dozens of dark red dots that certainly weren't there before. Wing himself looks a little bit off-colour.
It might seem obvious to humans that he has chickenpox, but to him this is something new and extremely worrying. Giant metal people aren't prone to diseases like this.]
I- [He interrupts himself with a fit of coughing.] -am not feeling so well. I have never felt sickness within a human body before and it is a vastly unpleasant- [More coughing.] -experience.
Any advice on how to properly handle this would be... would be very...
[The massive headache he had this morning returns and he grimaces. As disciplined as he is, Wing can't help but scratch tentatively at one of the marks on his jaw.]
Appreciated. I would appreciate advice. I don't believe it's anything serious, but if you believe I should go to a doctor then I'll go.
[He's also losing feathers, but he doesn't bring that up because it's not something your typical human has to deal with. Unfortunately for Drift, this means that there's more feathers than usual floating around the house.]

VIDEO;
Rest is generally recommended. And your skin condition suggests you should really not scratch those marks. It can actually make it worse.
VIDEO;
[Wing whines, but he does pull his hand away nonetheless.</small.] I take it from your lack of alarm that this is not a serious affliction?
VIDEO;
[He chuckles.] It's not. If you rest well and refrain from scratching, you'll be fine.
VIDEO;
[Grousing is also not characteristic of Wing. Someone isn't handling being sick very well.]
But I can do rest. I don't know how you organics are able to handle such a weakness. It's everywhere and you cannot escape it.
VIDEO;
[He's teasing. People just get irritable when they're sick; no point in taking it personally.]
What's seen as a weakness, why not make it a strength? I'm no doctor, but we naturally develop ways to fight off sicknesses and infections, or we find another way. No point in rolling over and giving up. That's never been my nature anyway.
VIDEO;
Suppose you don't know what made me so ill?
VIDEO;
VIDEO;
[What a distressing thought!]
Had I known that I would not have gone out earlier, oh dear.
video;
You'll want to stop scratching it so you don't leave scars or get infections. I'd send someone out to get you creams to ease the itching, but don't go yourself, chickenpox is really contagious.
[Right to the point.]
video;
[That's a relief! Not that Wing as worried, but it's nice to have confirmation.]
Human sickness is awful. It's so... insidious. It's like your body just accepts that it's sick.
[It's not like Wing to complain, ever, but at this moment he feels like he has the right to.]
I don't know how you handle it.
video;
[He gives a shrug to the whining.] Some of your symptoms are from you body fighting back. Most of us just deal with it, though not all of us handle it very well.
[Like himself honestly.]
video;
I'll think about it.
In the meantime, do you think you could tell Drift to get the cream for me? The itching is driving me crazy.
video;
I can.
[...]
But is there some specific reason I have to tell him?
video;
And I've got a headache.
[C'mooon, Rei don't make life harder for him than it already is. Can't you see the man is sick and pitifully weak? Have some mercy.]
video;
...Alright. You just get some rest then.
While I'm at it, do you need anything else? Food? [As long as he's offering his services, might as well go all out.]

Someone suggested soup? I think that would be lovely.
Thank you very much friend, I'll be sure to repay your kindness someday.
no subject
Soup? Do you have a preference for what kind?
[He can make some mean miso soup but he's not sure that's what Wing even likes.]
Ah, actually... If you wouldn't mind, I do have a favor to ask.

Go back to bed, Wing. I'll bring you some water...

[He curls up on the couch and covers his face with a pillow. Somewhere under the blanket pile is a series of pitiful groaning.]
The bed is way too far.
no subject
I wonder... are you unable to use your powers right now?
no subject
I don't feel too great or positive right now. I'd rather fight Braid again than go through this, this is awful.

[ He purses his lips. ]
Please don't say things like that.
no subject
I'm sorry, I didn't mean that.
no subject
It's just something I've had a lot of time to think about.

[Something they should talk about when he's NOT sick, but Wing doesn't care.]

no subject
[But they will talk about it.]
I wonder if it is safe for you to be around me. What if you get sick too?

For some reason, I never anticipated becoming sick.
Sickness makes me regret everything.
