[Sabriel's sitting in a De Chima coffeeshop, surrounded by books. two are the spellbooks she arrived with- others are history books, and a few others are books about vampires. Sabriel looks lively and alert, even as she jots down notes.] I have information I want to share with everyone- as well as a question.

It's not much, but- when we attacked, the Hornet's base, one of them was unfortunately killed in the fighting. I talked to him a little bit before I sent him on his way. He wasn't that happy about talking to an Import, but I did get a little bit of information out of him. [Sabriel clears her throat before speaking, reciting the words exactly as she heard them.]

"You haven't seen the last of us, and you will regret your part in the upcoming battle." Granted, it's not much, but... some of the other Hornets escaped, so they may still be planning- something.

Also, I've been trying to learn more about vampires, but the information I've found is... odd. And conflicts with much of what I've learned about the Dead. Does anyone here have experience with them? Weaknesses to sunlight and running water make sense, but garlic and wooden stakes?

[sabriel your family cat is a primordial nameless terror, don't judge other people]

Well... sometimes.

[she waits a beat.]

No. I'm not gonna say I haven't ever done it or anything, but not since I got here. I've got other ways to get what I need.

Seriously, though. You planning to go all crusading avenger of the night on my peeps or what? [she might not try to actually flex her title here, but she doesn't really wanna see other vampires get messed with just because

and part of her wants to say running water and garlic are bogus in her experience but it's way more fun if sabriel gets to be misinformed

Hey, I hear that. Less responsibility from home, the better. [less responsibility the better, full stop, really]
