[ the name on the comm is Oliver Queen ]
At the end of February, like a few others, I was [brainwashed into some sort of psychotic monster?] affected by the same things others in the city were.
I have information on the man named Benjamin Braunstein. Well. Insights, more than anything else. For those who might be interested. In exchange, I'm interested in information about Quisma. As well as anything people have managed to put together about the group of heroes that existed before imPorts came through.
[There we go. Short, sweet, to the point, and without any mention of his. Uh. Slight break from sanity before everyone else.]
To those who are new, don't worry. Not only are the Hornets old news, but things like this only tend to happen once every four months.
[It's a joke. He's joking. He's just... not... very good at it.]

I'm fine.
You should speak with Felicity, though.
[Since, you know, Caitlin's a doctor and Oliver kind of. Broke Felicity's arm and left her to deal with that and has been way too much of a chickenshit to deal with it.]
not really heeere
Have some radio silence while Caitlin checks on this.]
mirrornet;
same happened to me. jaswinder singh was the slinthead playing around in my brain. shuckface left me these:
1: it was from jaswinder's point of view, like the rest of it. there was blood and everything was dizzy and unfocused. he was sewing something into his skin, on his finger. razor blade and needle and thread. he was talking to himself, and said: "Crude. But these are desperate times. Stop the imPorts, save the world -- fate will forgive me doing her work."
2: he says "What did you say?" someone walks towards him, looking freaked out, hands raised. they say: "It was a very old tabloid article, though I can't say I would be surprised if it were true..." jaswinder: "Salvatore Quisma?" they all look at each other, seem like they're realizing something. singh says: "If Salvatore Quisma really did frame other officials, who's to say an imPort with that kind of power won't do it to another innocent person?"
3: jaswinder's pissed at someone nearby. he hisses: "Tell Alford to shut up about the Vanir already. He's confused. He doesn't know the first thing about what we're doing here, or what they--" he shakes his head, keeps going. "Someone's bound to get the wrong idea. We must walk separate paths. I will stamp out the misinformation in our swarm if it's the last thing I do."
that's it. i'm posting it up mirrornet wide soon.
you see the stuff i posted a while back, when i talked to quisma? [ his faith in the guy is dwindling.
also, he came back to himself having to dig technology and weapons out of his goddamn skin. he really, really hates this guy, jaswinder. ]
mirrornet; gOD I LOST THE NOTIF
I had three points as well. Mostly insights into how much the Hornets hate imPorts.
[Still, though, it's not like this is information Oliver feels any loyalty to keeping secret. So, he takes a moment to write up what he had experienced with as much detail as possible, just to mirror what Thomas had shared.]
1. He didn't used to hate them. No, he didn't used to. But Braunstein's always had a strong concept of justice, his own justice, and imPorts never really managed to earn his respect in that regard. All that power put to such ill-effect... disdain beats at his temples as he raises his bandana to cover his face nose and mouth from the paint fumes as he sprays the words "WE DID IT BETTER" at the base of the rails to Nonah's monorail. Unfortunate that some people will have to die when the explosives go off, but people always die when they put their trust in the wrong people. And maybe this batch will prove that they're something more than the last -- if they can impress him and save the day, he'll admit he's wrong. If.
2. Leaning against a wall in a dim room, he watches as Medina briefs the group. He's restless; truthfully, he would have preferred to have been sent with this group to Sofia, worried they might not be able to pull off this plan when the time comes. They're determined, but evidently nervous as Medina names their targets in the city. As Braunstein observes, a part of him wonders for the briefest second if this plan will work. If imPorts rush to Orlando, then to him, it's a waste. It's still some time of, but there had to have been less complicated ways to smear the imPorts' names.
3. "It wrecked Josh... what happened to his husband." Braunstein says with a grim look on his face before he takes a sip of his beer. "But he's a soldier, so he soldiered on. Back then I was still The Shield... no idea what happened to Quisma. Always thought it was an accident, too. Don't think Josh suspected foul play, but who knows?" He takes another swig of his beer. "I haven't heard from him since I put aside that mantle."
