Hello everyone. It's been a long time since I've written anything on here but I have some news to share with you all.

Earlier this month, you might have seen my friend, Sherlock Holmes, advertise his services on the network. This is a follow-up post to let people know that our blog is now officially up and running.

Since I met Sherlock, I've written up about twenty of his cases. It started as a hobby and sort of became a profession. He complained about it a lot but it became a method for people to find us. Should you require his detective skills at any point, you can send us a direct message on the website or contact us on our communicators.

We are looking into a few things that have happened recently. That's about all I have to say at the moment but I'm not at work today, so I'm available to a chat and answer any questions.

I haven't mentioned it yet. He's busy looking into that business with Robert Jennings and the Go Fors.

More than likely. I'll fix it if it's not, but I admit I'm enjoying being able to reach high shelves.

Thank God for that. I'm struggling to read some of these texts to be honest. I had to find an old pair of glasses in a charity shop and they are just barely doing the job.

Come down to the Future Foundation and I'll make you a custom pair. Since this is likely temporary, I assume you don't want eye surgery.

Yeah, I would like to avoid doing something like that. You don't know what's going to stick when this thing is over and done with.

I do like the idea about a custom pair though. How do I get to Future Foundation?

Teleportation is a surprisingly difficult problem. I seriously underestimated how much groundwork Dad and Uncle Doom had done back home to make it feasible.

Dad loves Star Trek. Uncle Doom...well, he probably knows it exists.

You don't have to slingshot around the Sun to time travel, by the way.

Really? It looked like fun. It kind of blows my mind that teleportation and time travel is a very real concept in some worlds.

Any time machine is also a teleporter, unless you want to end up in vacuum when you finish your jump. The Earth isn't exactly stationary, and neither is the Sun.

While I'm intellectually aware of the variety in the multiverse, universes whose physical laws don't allow that kind of thing seem very odd to me.

After reading that, I think I might stand back and let someone else volunteer to test a machine like that. Honestly I can't get wrap my head around it. How on Earth do you do it?

So you stalk this guy and write a blog about it, or do you work with him?

[ rude. sherlock's the one who stalks him. ]

I work with him as his assistant. We were flatmates until I got engaged. As for stalking, he's the one who follows me around.

Not a very good assistant, if he has to chase you around?

This will probably sound mad but there are actually periods where we aren't on a case together. I'm talking about those instances.

What kind of things do you guys investigate?

No problem.

[ he might be old now but his sarcasm still works. ]

Anything that he finds "interesting". Problems that no one else can solve and all that. He's very good at it.

What about mundane stuff? Like say I want to know who stole a slice of pizza from my fridge.

Probably not. Sorry, I don't pick them.

What's the point of being a for-hire detective if you turn away customers?

How do you end up in that sort of gig, anyway?

I have asked myself the same question sometimes. But that is how he works.

I met him through a mutual acquaintance and he invited me to a crime scene the next day. It just sort of happened from there.
