[It's Sai on the comm, but like many other imPorts, his age has been changed. Unlike most, though, he's aged up rather than down. Approximately a decade up, in fact--whereas Sai is usually 16, he currently looks about 25 or so. His hair is a bit longer, now with bangs covering his forehead, and the exposed midriff is a lot more...exposed than usual. Not to mention, the pants look uncomfortably tight on him. But he's getting to that; there's a reason he's not sitting down, okay.]

Does anyone know the source of these physical alterations? Or are they another of the Porter's as-yet-undiscovered capabilities?

...And could I get suggestions on places to shop for clothes? I could deal with the shirt and jacket having gotten too short, but the pants are squeezing my--

[Wait, no, he's not supposed to do that.]

Anyway. There are so many different stores, I don't understand what the differences are. Are any in particular better than the others? Such as Wall-mart, or Jay-see Penny?

You know, if you don't care too much about quality, you're probably better off getting something from a thrift store. It'd be cheaper.

( A pause. )

Unless you think you're going to be stuck like this forever, in which case you should proooobably make more long-term plans.

They're usually a bit dingy, full of second-hand stuff that you can tell was thrown away for a reason. But if you do some digging, you can find some gems! That's what my mom always said, anyway.

There's one in Heropa that I went to a few times when I first came here. If you'd like, I can give you directions.

Hold on, I'll send them through via text.

( And she does so; the place is an area downtown which she thinks is easy enough to find. )

A gem? Hmm, anything that's worth more than you pay, really.

Fashion is my specialty! [ which she emphasizes by giving the camera a big thumbs-up ] What kind of a look are you going for?

That's...not a good answer.

Got any particular style you like?

So something sporty yet practical? Old Navy might work good for you.

Stuff like sweatpants, yoga pants, cute little exercise shirts, things like that. That's sporty!

Wal-Mart are clothes you look for if you are in a budget. JC Penny are a little more expensive, but with better quality.

[ good question. He just goes to the Salvation Army stores for any clothes he needs. ]

I don't really shop in Wal-Mart all that much, to be honest. I think if you just want casual clothes that you don't mind getting torn up or dirty, Wal-Mart is okay. If you gotta go out to a special night or event or whatever, department stores like JC Penny can give you a better selection.

I think you have to really work at it to make them wear out to the point they have holes. Back home, a virus pretty much destroyed nearly all of civilization so any clothes you had have to come from abandoned stores and such. I had to wear the same kind of shirt for months at a time and they start to wear out after that.

I can get you something to wear.

[Says the boy in a loincloth grinning like a goddamn Cheshire cat.]

I've seen five thousand years of human fashion, I can find you something you wouldn't even think of.

[Don't trust him, Sai.]
