I just had this ad come across my desk for approval.

I wonder what sort of flavors it comes in? Scotch, perhaps? Beef? Venison? GUNPOWDER?

Maybe that's the combo pack they'll sell for Christmas? Special limited edition with extra testosterone?

Seriously - marketing has taken things just a little too far these days.

Along with Christmas cookie flavor- if that's considered manly enough. Hey, they've done turkey-flavored soda.

Yeah, it's a bit much. There is a market for it, though, apparently.

[Sam pulls a face. Yeah, he remembers that Christmas at Bobby's when Dean came back with a six pack of that soda.] You know what's worse? Ham flavored soda.

Guess so. So you do marketing, or something else? [Because Sam.. is kind of looking for a different job. Anything. Seriously.]

Now, ham soda sounds pretty revolting. Like, you might as well just drink the leftover drippings when you cook a ham, since I bet it tastes about the same.

I work for a men's health magazine, actually. I get to approve advertisements, among other things.

You know, it's even more horrifying than that. [And that was the last time Dean ever brought any novelty soda back. Ever.]

So did that one get the seal of approval?

... well, I guess if people are into that sort of thing, more power to them. I'll stick with cola.

I figure it's probably got a market somewhere- and if not, at least my magazine's not losing any money off it.

Probably can't hurt. Still.. odd thing to market for guys, especially with a vaguely dirty name like that.

Guess they figure there's a market out there for everything.
