The Revolutionary War may be long over but that shouldn't stop you from snagging a bit of history. Which is why Herodotus Antiques is having a Fourth of July special sale this weekend with twenty five percent off everything in store.
You'll be able to find things like coins, maps, newspaper clippings and even parts of uniforms.
There is a whole lot more to see and not just items to do with the War, so please drop by and have a look.
You won't regret it.
[Bela switches over to video feed, grimacing a little.]
Was that too much? Maybe I should have added a few flags in there and made it oh so patriotic.
[An eyeroll.]
I may be British but I understand what a big deal the Fourth of July is to Americans.
[Yep, pretty much going to take advantage of it or capitalise upon, to echo something Bela said to a certain Doctor Crane a few weeks ago.]
And I know antiques mightn't be considered sexy but come on, the fact that I'm advertising it should be enough to entice you. Besides, I have bills to pay and clothes to buy.
There's also a lawyer- Jeff Winger- currently sharing my premises. He could use a few clients. [You're welcome, Jeff. ]
Before I forget, I am considering having an open evening of sorts for the store with food and drink- free of course. Anything to drum up some business.
You can find me and the shop in Maurtia Falls.
Ciao.
[And click! Off goes the feed. ]

Not so sure about 4th July advert tho. ;P

Ugh. You're not the only one.
[Another text follows her first.]
But Americans like cheese and tacky things, right?

Tbh I think you needed something more. Maybe fireworks and a crying eagle. And explosions and guns,
MURICA!

Do you have any books on alchemy?
[Audio]
[There's the sound of boxes being moved around as Bela looks around for her. When she comes back, she has the books laid out to tell Winry.]
Okay, I have this one, this one here and this one.
Can't promise you that any of them will be any good though.

What sorta antiques do you carry? Meanin', do you only deal in certain items or periods or do ya just take whatever comes yer way?
no subject
Any and all really. This store was handed to me by the ones in charge and everything that came with it was in the stock room. I deal in whatever people want me to deal in and if I find something interesting that I could sell, I'll take it.

Were you serious about the newspapers? Because I'd love to take a look.

Is he any good?

According to his own words, he is.
Unless you were asking about something other than his skills as a lawyer.

I don't know nothin' about this holiday, but ya said maps, right? What kinda maps?
no subject
Maps of various territories at the time, important places. Historical maps, essentially.
They wouldn't be of much use to you now, but they are interesting to look at.

[ She's totally kidding because that advertisement is so tacky but hilariously appropriate to play on the feelings of the most recent holiday. But more importantly, Raina leans forward and offers a coy little smirk. ]
By the way, sweetie. He said yes.
[ Raina is pretty sure she doesn't have to elaborate who she means or what she's talking about. ]

[ Provided she was still around in Maurtia Falls or hell, any of the other places if Bela had the means to move. That required more money. ]
He did? That is most pleasing news to hear, thank you for letting me know.
[ She smiles, recalling the image that Raina showed to her under the influence of the flowers. ]
Do let me know when suits you best. You can contact me privately.
