Greetings imPorts.

[His volume is far lower than it usually is, more near well... a normal speaking volume. That and the usual furrow in his brow and intense expression is softened.]

First allow me to welcome all those who have recently arrived. I am Gamagori Ira, Nonah ImPort Ambassador. I am one of the individuals responsible for assisting any imPorts with whatever they may need, and that goes especially for the imPort residents stationed in Nonah, North Carolina. Welcome. Please see to speaking to me should you have any questions or issues.

My main purpose for this announcement-- [A breath, glancing down, then up to the camera again.] Is to inform all those familiar with the imPort, Inumuta Houka, that he has been ported out.

[Another pause. Ah... his stomach turns a little, his lips curling in. How many of those from his home now has that been? It's to be expected the sort of emptiness widening in his chest. But this isn't necessarily a surprise. They would all leave here... eventually. Iori, himself... He's not one to dwell in loneliness, but a man that prides himself on protecting those he cares having to see them leave one by one, will feel it shake his foundation.]

He was important to me, and important to the imPorts as a united group! Through his skill and intelligence was I able to organize and create the Nonah ImPort Training Facility we have today. An ally!

And what I began to accept as part of my family.

[...What else can he say... does he need to? The words are harder than they should be to say and he feels his skin heat slightly. Gamagori's not the sort to hold back his tears either, and so when he closes his eyes in his silence, one or two roll down his face. He leaves them for a moment before breathing in deep and raising a hand to wipe them, looking back up again.]

[Kaneda's about to start this off with a cheerful hello, but listening for a few moments longer, he realizes that this is more than just a greeting, but a departure as well. Someone close to Gamagori, as a matter of fact. He's still trying to get the hang of this world--how it works, mostly--but any idiot can figure out what 'ported out', means.

The magic works for someone after all, and it leaves people behind.

So he'll put on a smile, waving a little into the camera. Looks like someone's gotten over his own fit on arriving.]

Heeeyyy, that's a good thing, right? I mean--

[He looks around a moment.]

They're back home, yeah? So you'll definitely have them waiting for you.

[There's a two fingered salute before a smile.]

Nonah, huh? That's where I'm currently at. Just arrived, as a matter 'a fact.

[ This is actually the conversation he'd had with Inumuta right after he'd come out of jail: the mutability of their time here. So while he, too, has noticed, Iori's version of offering comfort is to have picked up tea from a nice cafe in Nonah, and end up back at the apartment with two bentos (THIS TOOK EFFORT) and highly drinkable tea.

Of which he offers to Gamagori, simple as can be. Food... helps. Probably. If he could make drinkable tea, he'd offer that. This is his substitute. ]

I saw you made the announcement.

I'm sorry your friend left, Mr. Gamagori. [ and she means it. there's a long pause before Hime speaks again ]

If you need anything like tissues or chocolate, let me know, okay?

[Yeah, Gamagori felt slightly strange making this announcement when it seemed they were getting their monthly influx of new arrivals. But it had to be done, Inumuta deserved it. And many were friends with him and deserved to know as well. When new arrivals show it's better to focus on assisting them, helping clear confusion and assist them in assimilating. But again... he'd make the announcement, even if it got lost in the business of the network.]

[The smile in nice though Gamagori doesn't greet it with his own. It's not often he smiles anyway but he's not particularly feeling it right now for obvious reasons.]

Yes... I understand that and I look forward to returning to his side one day. But for the time being I will remain and hold my memories of him close to my heart while I continue my role in this world. My resolve will remain iron.

[A slow turn to the words and he smells it, the tea. It smells... a lot nicer than tea Iori makes, though of course he won't say that. Infact Iori will get a smile, kind of. It's a lot more sad than a smile should be, and he makes sure to show the expression after the video is no longer recording him.]

Yes. Thank you.

[He takes what's offered and already moves to loosen the collar of his uniform as he sits down.]

I have already wiped my own tears, I do not need anyone's assistance with that. Nor will I ever.

[A deep breath, glancing down.]

But I thank you. [Closing his eyes.] Do you think chocolate will help?

Still calling it early, after a week. But he hasn't ported out before.

[ Which is a big pattern break after this long. Iori's words aren't censoring - he understands. He'll miss having his friend around too... though he supposes he's outlasted Inumuta's fatalism.

Which in a way almost tempts him to smile. The dog deserves to have strangely backward pleasant surprises every once in a while. You weren't the last. Not that he'd have wanted to leave either of them here, but that's beyond their control.

Porter problems. ]

And hope that hinges on the unpredictable is tiring in a place like this.

[ Though he takes a seat too, breathing out in a quiet sigh. Life is a finicky creature. ]

[He'd do the same, Gamagori. He knows what it's like to have friends close to your heart, and what it feels like to lose them. At least they could take comfort in that they were safe for the time being. That's what kept Kaneda from completely losing it.

A hand runs through his hair to muss it up a bit, turning back to the screen.]

Exactly. And hey, at least you know where he is, right? I hear nothing goes on while we're stuck here, so he won't run off and get into trouble without you.

It usually helps with things like this. When a friend back home had a loss, we had a sleepover...buuuut, since you're a guy and I'm a girl, chocolate might be better.

[no real comment to that, Gamagori is aware of how it usually works. Inumuta could easily come back tomorrow or in a week but... Hanging on that is never a good idea. Should he come back, he will welcome him with open arms, but until then, he must move on.]

It is not the sort of thing people should learn, from me, or anyone. I do not plan to teach that through example. [He doesn't want people to see him hanging on this as a loss, or dwelling on it. Or gripping to hope for Inumuta's return. It's really not the best idea and really not how you should go about your life in this place.]

[Still, it was good to mention it, and good for them to see Gamagori openly miss his friend.]

Though I won't hold back from saying- all of this is starting to get tiring.

[Knowing they're waiting for him is important, yes. Losing them completely... well. Gamagori would count that as a defeat.]

[And he doesn't take defeat well.]

When I return to my world it will be as though I never left, you are correct! Still I will do what I must here, whether it will be remembered or not. We must not stop on our paths, only from continuing to walk will we strengthen our legs.

Kaneda. [A small bow.] It is good to meet you. As a new arrival to my city, I look forward to serving you in the future. Have you had all your questions answered so far?

I would not want to make you uncomfortable miss.

Perhaps chocolate will be a good idea. In troubled times, eating, especially in the company of others, can raise the spirit.

You've been here more than long enough for patterns to get wearisome.

[ The lack of control is definitely part of what would - will - drive Iori up a wall in regards to this existence. He pulls his mask up, resting it on top of his head, and breaks apart his cheap wooden chopsticks. He'd say he'll drink to that, but eh. He has tea, and he has food.

He'll eat to that. ]

Is there anything you need?

[ For Iori to do, or in any more esoteric way something Gamagori needs in this world. There are the unprovided things, but... He simply compartmentalizes how he feels, holding his chopsticks in his fingers and watching Ira's face. Honesty might be one of the better places to offer his own thoughts: ]

I'll miss him too.

[ And will, at the same time, not stop moving forward. This is a parting. That's all. Not the end, thank goodness. ]

My condolences on your friend leaving, Ambassador. I hope the training facility becomes a fitting legacy for his time here.

[Kay grips her scarf and glances down, blinking several times. They didn't always get along, but she rather liked him. And liked trolling him. It also didn't help that he was yet another one in a long line of friends and acquaintances who were being sent home, even though perhaps that might be for their good.]

I'll miss him. He was my friend too, Gamagori.

I'm sorry. That's a shame.

[Moses and Inumata never did get along unless it was necessary. Moses had saved him a few times but it's never been something where they've been close.

He's still unhappy about what had happened.]

[And at the bow he...awkwardly bows back. This guy's all about the manners, isn't he?]

About as good as they're gonna get, I guess. I can't believe all this magic mumbo-jumbo, and I don't trust the guys in charge but...who does, right?

Thank you, Miss Sabriel and there will be no need for such hope! Inumuta Houka has left his mark on this world and if others will not remember it, I will. [Until he has to leave this place as well.]

Though from something like this... it makes me wonder what would happen to the Facility should I be ported out.

[Ah, using his first name gets his attention. He glances down, giving a small nod. He wasn't aware of her relationship with Inumuta, aside from that one... post. Not long ago. The one meaning to get back at him for spilling that information? It was childish, but well deserved in a way.]

I did not realize... I apologize, I didn't know you were close. Though it's often he made his friends by being audacious. Infact, that spunk is what brought him to my side as well! [To all the Deva's sides actually. Little punk...]

It is for the best... And even knowing that, I still feel regret I didn't make more time for him. [His brows furrowing. They worked together a lot, lived together. But did he really spend time with him now that they were forced to spend time together? He feels like... it all flew by. He feels bad.]

Perhaps I'll get groceries today, Moses...

Do you want to come with? [He'll cook something in his honor, maybe walk the chickens. He can't just... Sit around today.]

[It's starting to become expected, this man. Though they've never really spent time together he's around enough to acknowledge. And for a second he thought, 'I don't have the patience for this', for this man, for what comes with him. But he's been relatively fine the last few times, if a little mouthy. And while he feels contested by Uvogin's obvious strength, there hasn't been anything else to worsen it.]

[A look, and then he'll glance down before closing his eyes, giving a small nod.]
