[truth be told, Tara's pretty shaken up about everything she's hearing. she was lucky enough not to actually experience any hallucinations, but she's been keeping a careful eye on everything that people are saying they experienced. that's why she's coming to the network today in text only. there are a few people around here who know her deal, but she's still under some parts of the radar and she aims to keep it that way for as long as possible.]

jesus the christ, people actually still want to be superheroes after all this? you guys have got to be made of stronger stuff than me. or crazy. sorry, probably not the best word to use right now.

anyway what the hell. is there like a gameplan in place to prevent this stuff from happening again slash for real? whether or not all of that stuff really happened and/or if itd actually happen again, all it takes is one asshole, you know? sorry, im just a little bit freaked out by some of this. probably not a huge surprise, it would freak out anybody, but here i am i guess. whats up, maurtia falls, heres another scared teenager for your ranks.

You don't need to be a hero to want that. I've rather exhausted my tolerance for even the idea of memory alterations, to be perfectly honest; if there's anything I can do to prevent it from happening again, I'm ready and willing.

It was a different group of people, but I'm afraid that wielding that sort of control over people is too alluring to be left to a single incident. I wish it was otherwise, but the world isn't like that just yet.

In the meantime, all we can do is our best. With so many people working towards a solution I don't think you have much to fear.

mostly just trying to take my mind off things by talking to people. i probably shouldntve done something so public. idk if im in the right state to deal with, like, potentially a bunch of responses from capes i dont know being all reassuring or whatever.

i really wish more capes could be like you. like, i dont know who you are, i dont know if youre playing me, but youre right. there are people who are just better fits for the typical superhero role. i just kind of want to exist and have the powers be a footnote. im like 16, im way too young to be throwing myself headfirst into danger like that.

one of the last things i remember hearing back home was that theres always a choice. i mean, the options might still blow, but theres always the choice to say no. i get the feeling theyre just not going to like it very much.
