002 [] video
[ The feed starts out shaky as Sarah jostles the communicator, then evens out to reveal that she's driving. She sticks the communicator on the dashboard so that it captures a section of the steering wheel along with her face, not to mention the moderately worried expression of the passenger sitting in the back, though he seems too nervous to actually speak up. ]
So I've got two questions. First, how many of you've actually got kids waiting for you at home? I've run into a few people, but it'd be nice to get a number on it.
[ She takes one hand off the steering wheel and runs it through her hair, distractedly, looking away from the communicator and at something on the road ahead. Or maybe she just doesn't want to make eye contact with whoever's watching this, even over a video feed. ]
Second… Have you ever heard of someone showing up from home, only they're from before or after you are? Or—shit, I don't even know how to word that. From a different time, I guess. How the hell are you supposed to handle that?

And yes. Quite often has those from my world arrived from different 'times'. It's rather common here. It's even common for you yourself to leave and arrive from a different time as well.

So what I'm saying is... yeah, sort of. [ a beat ] Should you be using your communicator while driving?

How's that work, then?

It can happen. In fact, it happens quite often.
And dealing with it doesn't come an instructions manual. [ you mostly suck it up. ]

And I guess, like...Well. Is the problem that they're different from the people that you know? Or is it that they know things about your future?
