[First there was the death of his grandmother, then his father left. The rest of the family never gave much of a damn, and neither did he.

There's silence in his lack of an expression. If anything, it's only possible to tell that he's deep in some thought. Maybe he's already had more than enough chances to cry about his mother being far away, for having been unable to see her for almost six months now. He's growing up and the only thing keeping him from calling this place home is the fact that she's not here.

After the pause is over, he continues in the very same emotionless tone.]

Lucifer hasn't stopped. People are still dying because of him.

[He should know - they keep showing up at his doorstep.

I'm sure it's hard to be away from her. [Double-whammy for Sammy, he's not good with kids like his brother and he doesn't have a mother to miss, so he can't totally relate. Still, he thought he should try to say something.]

As for Lucifer -- [He bites his lip, looking guilty and ashamed behind his deep ringed eyes.] I've been looking for a way to stop him for months now. [He doesn't want to say that it's hardly proving successful.]

[There's no fishing for pity, just stating a fact. Neither of them had much of anything attaching them to their lives back home; as crazy as things can get around here, he's found more reasons to be happy than anything before ever provided.

A pause follows when he starts on the topic of Lucifer - of course he knows about him. It's rare to find people who don't, considering everything he's done from the moment he stepped into this dimension.]

Having trouble sleeping? [ He's frowning, though. Debates about whether or not Lucifer is an angel aside, the fact that it's directly affecting someone he actually feels responsible for doesn't sit well. ]

I'm gonna be stuck at home for a while. [ Is what he says, instead. Getting bitten by a mechanical shark does that to you. ]

[No answer to the first question. Cole's always had trouble sleeping - ghosts tend to pop up when it's dark and silent.]

[ Moms. He can't really claim to have much to do with his own mom, but he does know they're generally loving. For a human kid to be away from their mother for so long...

Well. He can't do much about that. He can't do much about Lucifer, either, as much as he'd like to. ]

Yeah.

[The answer could be for either of the things Ace said, but he decides to move on to the topic of the ghosts right away. It's easier for him to talk about that. As morbid as it is, it's providing him distraction from the fact that he misses his mother and he wishes she could be here to help him. She's the only person he's allowed to hold him close. She's the only one who could make him feel better when he felt completely alone.]

[Madison had mentioned Satan before. Lucifer = Satan in Ryan's head, so this seems like a good place to start. He really should say something in regards to the first part. The kid doesn't look that old and god knows he'd be freaking out a little if he were in his situation.

Hey…some of us are still kind of getting caught up to speed about what's really happening here. Think you can tell me who Lucifer is and what he's been up to? [Not that he wants to jump into the hero-ing thing right away, but it seems important to know if people are being killed.]
