03 ♥ audio (late night)
[This is the first time he's ever made a top post with his guitar, and the second time he's ever publicly played anything over the network.
After seeing how everyone reacted to Dorian's version of "Wonderwall", he wasn't in a hurry to put himself out there, least of all with something as intensely personal as his music.
But he's feeling pensive tonight, and he has too much free time on his hands now that the holidays are over and Heropa has been rescued. At around 1:30 in the morning, he starts a live audio feed. Without any words of introduction, an uncharacteristically melancholy guitar piece floats through the network. There are no vocals, no words -- Manolo's guitar does the singing for him tonight.
Music buffs will indeed recognize it as a rendition of "Caroline, No" by The Beach Boys. The interpretation is Manolo's own work, done entirely by ear (not an easy thing to do with a guitar solo, considering the complexity of the original source material). But even those who are unfamiliar with the song may feel quiet pangs of sadness and a sense of longing for simpler, happier times...
Once the song reaches its conclusion and the final notes gently fade into silence, Manolo simply closes the feed.]

text;
can do those things
and apparently other types of magic
as well
it felt natural
for me to play this
song in particular
i wasnt necessarily
aiming to heal anyone just then
but
if people find it
cathartic or it helps
them forget about life for awhile
then i would be satisfied
text;
but I did forget. if only for a moment.
text;
i often feel the same way
im glad my music could help then
even if it was just a little bit
text;
it does not hurt.
text;
and i try to live my life
in a way i can be proud of
if you ever want
to listen to my music again
just call on me
i will gladly play for you
text;
Not many can define their lives or be proud of it.
I'll consider your offer.
text;
i have someone special
to thank for that
and please do
text;
it's a promise
text;
the woman im in love with
text;
you mean sharing a connection with someone like yourself?
[It must be something, having something like that.]
text;
and being able to hold onto
that connection
no matter what
because true love
never fades
and it never dies
text;
[This is a mostly singular alien clone thing you're talking to Manolo.]
text;
i believe
love is one of the
strongest forces to exist
in the world
text;
I read it on several forums.
text;
can those forces
defy death and fate?
