[ He stares back at him, just a little helplessly, because he doesn't understand. Is it jealousy? How could i be? It's not like he has anything to be jealous about. He just talked to some people because he wanted to learn something, and maybe through speaking to them work out what he really wanted. He has no idea what he wants, and Ray, after all, is pushing for him to decide what he does or doesn't want, and that's exactly the problem. Does he want a song and dance? Does he want something quiet? Does he want no traditions at all, just walk into a room and sign a bit of paper? It would seem like an anticlimax. He just needs...a way to break through to his own opinion, and find it before the decision is made for him, and talking to Ray obviously hasn't helped so far. It only frustrates him, because his partner doesn't understand. Because Ray's been married before, and he knows what to expect, or doesn't care, perhaps, so long as he's with the person he loves. That's true of Fraser too, but he also feels like he's taking something away from him with it, by not giving him whatever it is he actually wants. Secretly. If anything.

It's much too complicated. He wants someone else to show him all the answers.

We can talk about traditions, Ray. We do talk about things, here and there, but you have your experiences and they have theirs. I was... I suppose I was just curious. Shouldn't I have been?

Besides, every time I bring something up--the rings, for example?
