I'm Emmett Brown, pleased to meet you all, though I gather that circumstances have been especially grim lately? I'm sorry. Sometimes it seems the world's inevitably destined to go to hell.

[There's a lot he isn't saying, but everything he's read about this war is really, really weighing heavily on his mind.]

Back to business: I'm here to inquire about whether any of you would be interested in a mechanic's service? As I'm sure you can see, I work nights at the disco and while it's certainly loud work, I prefer a wrench in hand during the daytime. I can repair most basic home devices, but I specialize in automobile repair and hover conversions. I'll only charge for parts acquisition, of course---I'm not precisely cut out for combat, so it's the least assistance I can offer you.

Is your world or dimension just as dark as this one?

Yes! Parts were ludicrously expensive where I come from, but it might be entirely within reach here. I'm new to the area and low on funds, but I'm sure it'll feasible eventually.

[Despite the late hours, Doc may or may not have just acquired himself an audience. Komasan very rarely visits his own house, so of course the moment he does, there's suddenly a stranger inside. Yes, there's quite a bit of tech available ... Not qutie the level I'm used to, alas. I'm sorely missing my lightflyer.

True, it's trickier to avoid accidents in congested areas, but it's useful for allowing us to traverse rocky terrain that would trap standard wheels. Off-road driving virtually anywhere with very little effort.

May I ask what a lightflyer is?

[Quickest way to grab his attention: mentions of brand new technology.]

You mean the Cold War? I know my world had that but it was quite awhile ago.

In the very least I hope you find some enjoyment in this place. You were lucky to miss out on the mass kidnapping so hopefully you won't have to worry about that.

Okay, okay- i'll give you that much. Not like I wouldn't have taken a flotation device or two in my time but it just ruins the whole aesthetic of the thing.

Rather like a flying motorcycle - small flying craft with an open cockpit, hover capabilities, and a top speed of around 200 kilometers per hour.

Alas, the technology here isn't quite up to that.

Precisely. I've read bits and pieces about it. Seems that everyone was returned, but that doesn't necessarily mean the ordeal is over.

Are you entirely sure of that? I've worked on a hover car that perfectly balanced form and function. I could show you a miniaturized model?

I might not be able to match that speed with what I can acquire, but I can certainly pull off hover tech.

Speed I can live without as long as I can achieve flight.

Are you only taking individual projects? Any interest in something long term?
