[ 001 ] [Video]
[The feed clicks on to show Shinjiro sitting back (Like feet on the desk back) in a small, bland-looking office- Though it's hard to see most of it, since his back is to a window with the blinds mostly closed. He's got some sort of cheap-as-hell cup'o'noodles in hand, poking at it with chopsticks. It's almost like he's incapable of not playing on superhero-facebook during his lunch break and between counseling sessions.
But at least he doesn't look entirely like a hobo? His hair is combed and everything okay. This is why dress codes at work are a good thing, right here.]
So between the newbies all excited to fight crime, and people able to finally change their pants and go outside with this Lucifer guy getting caught-- How do you people actually go about super hero-ing? Like do you put on a cape and stalk around looking for a mugger to catch, or do the police shoot you a text, or what?
[Pause, slurping on some of his food. Classy.]
Seems like a pain in the ass, with them handing us a job and whatever else when we get here. So yeah, guess I just wanna know if anyone actually goes around catchin' criminals and how that works. Seems like it'd be easy to get out've hand, registered or not.
[Not that he... plans in participating. But hey, curiosity.]
So yeah, lemme know what you hero types actually do with your lives. It's been bugging me since I showed up.

We've got a pretty good system for it back home. We wear these call bands on our wrists and when they go off, that means there's an emergency, and we're given our directions through that.
The way it works is, someone makes a request for a hero dispatch, the Justice Department approves it, and then we get contacted through the call bands.
I've been working on getting something similar set up here, actually.

So like a text system for anyone registered in the area? You guys given territories or do like five people show up and just gotta fight over who gets it?
Doesn't sound like too bad a system, at least. How long's it usually take to get approved?
no subject
And it goes pretty fast--kinda needs to, considering lives're at stake, y'know?
no subject
So you gotta find people to work it 24/7-
What's it take for that kinda thing to get approved back where you're from?
[Always the skeptic, he's... mostly thinking of ways it could go wrong.]
Not to mention something so it won't be easy to start a mass manhunt with wrong info.

Like it doesn't seem like it needs even ten people to do it, let alone however many dozens've popped up.

Why, you thinking about picking up a cape and a codename and getting out there?
[It's not really a serious question; Shinjiro just doesn't seem to be the type.]
no subject
Yeah- I'll run around, grab someones arm, and ask 'em to wait there for a bit 'til their skin falls off.
[he's so positive about his powers here yep.]
More just trying to get an idea 'bout how it's all supposed to work. Back home we ain't got anything close to this.
no subject
Is that seriously your power? Making people's skin fall off?

Can't say I've never worn stupid shit to a fight, but there was always some kinda benefit in battle. [Or the Main Character just says RPG PARTY MEMBER, PUT THIS ON. Whichever. :T ]

You look good. Nice to see you without the hat once and a while. [Less shit to hide under, feel that new confidence, Shinjiro? Running through you? it's nice, hey?]
And like hell you don't know what being a hero is. Even if you took a break for a while.
no subject
And bullshit. [A snort.] We did some shit, but we weren't heroes.
no subject
Yes we were, Shinji, we helped people. There were casualties- but we did good, that's the point of being a hero.
