[ Francis seems pretty serious but calm. Leave the city for a couple of days and this happens. Not... that he's ungrateful that he demurred the opportunity to be a parade marshall, considering. 

But if Calendar Man is hoping for a namecheck by the city's ambassador... he's going to be disappointed.

While he is indeed the prompter of this appearance on the network (showing up every month would be very tedious for all concerned), Francis is going to talk about something else entirely. ]

As there is a new batch of imPorts coming in, I'd thought I'd introduce myself. My name is Francis Urquhart and I'm the imPort Ambassador for Nonah. That means I'm at your disposal for any concerns you might have at any time. I do hope anyone with any kind of issue or problem can feel free to talk to me. [ Rather than disrupt perfectly good parades. ] Or ideas about how we might improve ImPort relationships with our generous hosts. [ Which disrupting perfectly good parades tends not to do. ]

We're all part of a community who have faced great challenges together and defeated them. I trust that with everyone's input, we can continue to do so with the challenges yet to come.

I think you're the one giving reasons for concerns to begin with when you talk about "great challenges".. [ Almost mumbled, like it's not quite, but almost more to himself than anything else. ]

Is this place so dangerous? Or.. well, whatever the stuff involved with those challenges was like.

Well, I can always put you in touch with bed sellers who have beds with enough room for you to hide under, if you prefer. [ His tone is amused, though he is a little annoyed at the cowardice.

But he's a little forgiving of fear, considering this is obviously a newbie. Less of getting flack for it, mind you. ]

But, if you want an honest answer, then, yes. There is only so much I can guarantee your safety during war time, I'm afraid. Except that we're the ones with the powers and we do try to stick together, for the most part.

[ There's a half-choked instinctive sound at the reply. ]

H-hey! Do I really seem like the type to hide under a bed?! [ He's totally the type to do that.. but the idea that someone actually accused him of it (or saw through him that easily, more like) still makes him sputter all the same in embarrassment. Good thing this is just audio, because he can sure feel his cheeks lighting up instantly. ]

Isn't it normal to worry when you're thrown into a situation like this? I'm just a normal guy!

And yes, it's natural to worry, of course, but you are scared of the word 'challenges'.

It's not like it's just the word or anything, it's just-- this city is so weird, who knows how weird or terrible the dangers might get too!

Well, I'm sure if you look it up you can find out. At least have a decent idea of what you're facing. Better than your imagination, at any rate. [ Because your imagination seems to be betraying you, man. ]

So no giant monsters trampling the city? [ He's just making sure, since that's the first thing that pops up in his imagination at the idea of a superhero city. This is what TV taught him. ]

Well, the one I met seemed far more interested in sleeping... admittedly in the middle of a street, but not a lot of trampling went on, is my point.

I don't know if monsters being around is a good thing either way though, but.. well, I guess as long as they're not trying to kill people..

It vanished shortly thereafter. I don't imagine they're ever a permanent fixture. [ He... is not going to tell him about the dragons that were apparently here. Let one of the kids do it and when the lad isn't on the verge of a panic attack. ]

Why does a place that looks pretty normal at first glance got to be so weird?

[ They're usually summoned by someone, but again, Francis has judged him sufficiently alarmed. ]

It didn't precisely look normal to me, but I sympathise.

.. yeah, I guess I should be lucky I'm at least used to normal cities. [ At least that thought seems to sober up Hyunsoo a little. Yeah, he's a coward and a huge overreacting idiot at times, but he can sometimes act a little more reasonable. At least sometimes. ]

With how weird some of the people here are, they must be used to way different places than how everything looks here.
