[ The video starts with Marty holding the communicator really, really awkwardly. Behind him you can probably see a line of freestyle soda machines behind him. Marty has a dollar in his hand, but apparently something's not working for him. ]

Okay. So...ah, I'm Marty. I guess I'm new? I don't know if you gotta introduce yourselves or anything when you make a new one of these, but...

[ He gives the communicator a sheepish kind of shrug, unsure of whether he wants to feel stupid holding a camera like this, or feeling uncomfortable because people were looking at him weird. ] ...right. So I got a question. I guess.

So these touch vendor-things are everywhere, right? How the hell do you get your soda?

[ Marty turns the video to the machine, where he presses his finger against 'diet coke' on the main screen and then mashing it against the PUSH button. ] I press diet coke on the menu and it takes me to this thing where it shows me all kinda of flavors, but it won't give me my soda!

[ joke's on you marty, you have to select the big fat diet coke button before you can get your soda, duh. that's probably why people are looking at you weird.

Eventually he just lightly taps the toe of his shoe against the bottom of the machine. ]

This thing sucks. I don't even like coke.

[ .. people baffled by soda machines. Not the weirdest thing he's seen so far, but still.. ]

You'll break it if you push it any harder. [ JUST SAYING. Not very helpful, but it's the first thing that slips out after the initial surprise of this whole situation. ]

Well, it's not like I can do anything else! [ He's just...irritated. Excuse him. ]

What do you suggest then?

[ See! Actually helpful genuine advice there. He's trying. ]

Why are you trying to get it anyway if you don't like coke? Just get something else to drink from a store.

The select button? Which one's that?

[ He shrugs, shaking his head once or twice. ] I don't know! I thought all of these would sell pepsi. Why wouldn't it?

[valuemeal]

I don't know-- different places, different machines? [ The selection of drinks in the vending machines have honestly been the least of his concerns - he gets worked up enough about other things as is. ]

I mean, have you looked around here yet? Stuff is so weird, this thing's got to be one of the least weird things around.

[heymcfly]

I kinda avoid the weird stuff, gotta be honest. [ Marty eventually gives up and selects some weird flavor of coke that he probably will drink never. ] I'm kinda afraid to. Stuff 'round here's kinda...I mean...

[ He shrugs. ] I came from 1985 [ sorta. ] so everything's kind of...overwhelming, I guess.

[ Kind of afraid to? See, now this is what Hyunsoo wants to hear. There's so many weird people here who just seem to accept the weirdness, so hearing that he's not the only slightly nervous one over here? It's all he needs, and he jumps on it a little too eagerly. ]

Yeah! It's weird, isn't it? Super weird!

[ Totally not obvious you're trying to cover up your own cowardice there, Hyunsoo.. ]

I mean, I'm not from 1985 or whatever, but it's still all weird to me. It should be weird to anyone, probably. There's just way too much stuff that shouldn't be possible in real life!

[heymcfly]

[ Marty doesn't even notice, to be honest! ] It sucks! I mean, at first I wasn't gonna take any of this seriously, y'know? How can you? But I actually shot fire out of my mouth when I was sneezing, so I guess I gotta. It kinda sucks.

Y'know, if they're gonna take you from your world or whatever, the least they could do is give you a tour. I didn't get a tour.

[valuemeal]

We should seriously have had a tour. Except if they'd show us weird stuff, then I wouldn't have mind skipping out on it.

[ There's a small pause though, because he realises just what occurred to him about the things the other said.. ]

Wait-- are you supposed to be breathing fire or something now? Like a dragon?

[heymcfly]

I mean, I don't think so? Someone said I was just discovering my powers, or something. I haven't done it since.

[ He shrugs! ] Breathing fire probably sucks. I'd kinda hoping it doesn't happen again.

[valuemeal]

I guess it'd be pretty weird if it would happen randomly.. [ If not just plain inconvenient and dangerous. What if you just are trying to pay at a convenience store and when you say bye to the person behind the counter, you accidentally burn them to a crisp?

Yeah. Not that great. ]

But at least it'd help if.. I don't know. Bad stuff happens. Isn't that what usually happens in superhero cities?
